**Cat Island Service Weekend Collaboration – RCN & RSCN**
Over a steaming hot cup of Starbucks coffee, the idea was borne to establish a Rotary Club of Nassau (RCN) satellite club on the sandy isles of Cat Island.
✨️
In August of 2021, the idea came to fruition with the establishment of the Rotary Satellite Club of Nassau on Cat Island (RSCN). Due to attrition of members as work loads and responsibilities increased immensely, RSCN activities significantly fell off in the past two(2) years.
✨️
The weekend of Fri, Sept 25th thru 27th, 2026, under the leadership of President Francina Beneby, members of RCN engaged members of RSCN to host an in-person meeting and social at GSports in New Bight, Cat Island. This was a time of fellowship and club growth. Eight(8) prospective members expressed an interest in joining the RSCN family of Rotarians.
✨️
While on island, RCN partnered with RSCN to donate a wheelchair and AED to the Old Bight Clinic in Cat Island. On hand to receive the donation was Head Nurse Elaine Stuart.
The collaboration between RCN & RSCN continued throughout the weekend with painting at the Children’s Home, led by PHF Cindy Moss. Partnering alongside the team with many hands to make the work light, were leaders and members of the Boys Club of Cat Island.
✨️
The project was capped off with a dinner by the accommodation host of Rollezz Villas Beach Resort in Old Bight, Cat Island.
✨️
RCN & RSCN have committed to keep this momentum going to Create Lasting Impact through Service Above Self.
