34 years of service. 34 years of impact. 34 years of standing with our community 🫂♥️

Since its founding in 1992, the Bahamas AIDS Foundation has remained committed to supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS through care, education, and advocacy. Over the years, the Foundation has evolved to meet the needs of the community — now focusing on outreach, youth support, and promoting healthy, empowered lives.

Today, that work continues through programmes that provide guidance, encouragement, and hope to young people and families across The Bahamas.

As we celebrate 34 years of community work, we honour the journey, the lives touched, and the continued mission to break stigma and build a stronger, healthier future.

Photo highlights from a historic moment 🇧🇸✨

Yesterday, The Bahamas achieved certification for the elimination of mother-to-child transmission (EMTCT) of HIV—meeting global standards and marking a major public health milestone for the country.

The Pan American Health Organization recognised this achievement during a special ceremony, placing The Bahamas among fewer than 20 countries and territories in the Americas to reach this standard.

The Bahamas AIDS Foundation was proud to be present, celebrating this progress and the continued commitment to protecting mothers and babies.
