Even while facing treatments, fear, exhaustion and uncertainty, there are moms and dads still trying to show up for their children, to reassure them, care for them, and be the Mom or Dad their children need during the most difficult time of their lives.

Today is Cup of Hope Wednesday, one of my favorite days of the month.

Every 4th Wednesday, we open our doors to cancer patients and survivors for a few hours of community, conversation, and learning.

Today, we're focusing on practical nutrition because healthy eating doesn't have to be overwhelming.

Our table is filled with fresh vegetables, avocados, tomatoes, lettuce wraps, coconut wraps, hummus, tuna, and simple meal ideas that show healthier choices can also be delicious.

We also recognize that change doesn't happen overnight. Rather than expecting people to completely transform their diets in a single day, we encourage small, realistic steps that are easier to sustain over time.

Beyond the food, Cup of Hope is about connection. It's a place where people can ask questions, share experiences, encourage one another, and discover new ways to nourish both their bodies and their spirits.

If you're a cancer patient or survivor, we'd love to welcome you every 4th Wednesday of the month. There is always a seat at our table.

We've been doing this since 2012, and if there's one thing we know for sure, it's this: Strength doesn't always look like what you'd expect.

It looks like showing up to a monthly meeting when you'd rather stay in bed.
It looks like a caregiver quietly holding everything together for their loved one.
It looks like a survivor laughing again, really laughing for the first time in months.
It looks like someone brand new walking through our doors, scared but ready.

👜 You spot a handbag in perfect condition.
👠 A pair of shoes that fit like they were made for you.
🏡 A little something for the house that you didn't know you needed until you saw it.

You pay a few dollars. Walk out smiling. And think nothing more of it.
