All you have to do is complete the run or the full walk route, collect your raffle ticket at the water station, and hold on to it until the drawing.

The winner will be announced at the park, so you must be present to win!

What an incredible start to Cancer Survivors Month!

On Friday, the Gennie Dean Caring and Sharing Cancer Support Group hosted our Family Fun Day, and it was everything we hoped it would be and more.

The laughter, excitement, and sense of togetherness filled every corner of the day.

Children and adults alike enthusiastically participated in the scavenger hunt, enjoyed the games, shared a meal, and gathered together to watch a movie.

The feedback from participants is wonderful, with many sharing how much fun they had. Some adults even joked that they may have enjoyed the movie more than the children!

This morning, we continued our Cancer Survivors Month celebrations by coming together in worship. It was a beautiful opportunity to give thanks, celebrate life, honor the journeys of survivors, and draw strength from our faith and community.

Thank you to New Birth Fellowship Ministry for welcoming us, for that timely message and your donation to our group.

This weekend was a reminder that while cancer may be part of many of our stories, it does not define them. There is still room for laughter, fellowship, joy, and meaningful connection. These moments matter. They help strengthen the bonds that carry us through life's most difficult seasons and remind us that no one has to walk this journey alone.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for both events. We look forward to sharing many more meaningful experiences with our cancer community throughout Cancer Survivors Month.

Forget the wand. Forget the fairy tale. Real magic looks nothing like what we were taught. 🪄

Real magic is a stranger deciding today, for someone they've never met, that enough is enough.

It doesn't sparkle. It doesn't float. It shows up as a funded treatment, a paid bill, a sigh of relief.

It sounds like a room full of people saying "me too" and someone finally feeling less alone in their fight.

It looks like knowledge landing in the hands of a family who had no idea where to turn.

It feels like a community that refuses to let cancer have the last word.
