Bahamas Feeding Network

Bahamas Feeding Network We organize the distribution of food items among New Providence charities and outreach programs so food reaches those in need as quickly as possible.

The mission of the BFN is to maximize the effectiveness of common issues among more than 120 feeding centres currently operating across The Bahamas including scarcity of resources -- personnel, finances, food supplies and non-food supplies, to minimize duplication of services, improve communications and collaboration, to develop an online database inclusive of times and locations of programs, to i

dentify under-served or unserved areas and to provide a common platform for standards and best practices and the review of government and NGO policies related to feeding centres and programs.

It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Lisa Pugh, a dedicated volunteer of the Bahamas Feeding Network, on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

From the very beginning, Lisa served with compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those in need. She was truly part of our family, and her impact will never be forgotten.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and loved ones. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

May she rest in peace.

We are incredibly grateful to twin sisters Drs. Sophia and Bridgette Rolle for their generosity and support of the Bahamas Feeding Network.

Through their fundraising fun run/walk, they presented a donation of $2,200 in cash, $200 in grocery vouchers, and canned goods. A meaningful contribution that will allow us to pack approximately 160 non-perishable food parcels, helping to feed families of four for 2–3 days.

Every contribution makes a difference, and this act of giving will directly impact families in need across our community.

Thank you for your kindness and commitment to fighting hunger.

Pick up today's Tribune, Bahamas Feeding Network is in the news 📰

Recently, members of our team participated in specialized training on anti-money laundering and detecting illicit financial activity. This important workshop helps ensure that our organization continues to operate with the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and compliance.

As a nonprofit serving communities across The Bahamas, we remain committed not only to fighting hunger, but also to protecting the integrity of the resources entrusted to us.

Thank you to everyone who made this valuable training possible and to our partners who continue to support our mission.

A huge thank you to the organizers of Step Lively for hosting such a wonderful Fun Run/Walk this past Saturday and for allowing the Bahamas Feeding Network to be part of such an energetic community event.

We are grateful to everyone who came out early, laced up their sneakers, and showed support. The turnout and positive energy truly made the morning special. 👟

A special thank you as well to Sandbar Coffee for keeping runners and walkers fueled with delicious coffee & matcha before and after the Run/Walk. ☕

Events like these remind us how powerful community support can be when we come together for a great cause.

Hunger Hurts. Together we can wipe it out.
