OUR PURPOSE
Approximately one in five adult women have a mental health issue each year, yet only 20% will seek help. While everyone goes through difficulties in life, we recognize that women impacted by systemic oppression have less access to care, support and suffer tragically. Women can heal and recover from depression, anxiety, abuse and trauma. We believe that every woman in our community should have a support system and access to resources, by improving a woman’s mental health we are also improving the well-being of her family and community. OUR MISSION
The mission of The Women of Strength Association is to provide women with effective counseling, social support and education so they can transform life challenges into positive change and growth. Email: [email protected] Tel: 423-9377
