Pilot Club of Abaco have some amazingly hard working members with a passion for service.
As we collectively looked at the criteria of Pilot International Club Ambassador, our members unanimously agreed that Selva Sawyer was the best candidate for the 2026-2027 Pilot Year.

Although Pilot Selva is active in her role as Membership Coordinator, she also works closely with Projects and Pick Me Up, Support Pilot International’s core areas of focus:
Brain Health and Safety and Supporting Those Who Care for Others. She is faithful in attending meetings and gives generously of her time and resources for the growth of our club and the organization in general.

Last night we honored this Pilot Gem by giving her flowers in the form of a money bouquet, Ambassador Certificate, cake and refreshments to celebrate the occasion and the honor of being that Pilot, that measuring stick, that all of our club members deserve want to emulate. Pilot Valentina, Pilot Club of Abaco’s Pilot International Founders Fund Rep (PIFF Rep), presented Pilot Selva with her awards.

Congratulations Pilot Selva, on this prestigious honor. This award was well deserved! 👏🏽👏🏽💚💛🎂🍰🥂🍾

This evening we held our second General Meeting of the 2026-2027 Pilot Year. We are happy to share, there were 9 Guests present who were excited to hear what Pilot Club of Abaco has to offer. If felt like a mini Share Pilot.
President Anitha shared some information from our International Convention, which was held in Oklahoma last month.

At the meeting, we also raffled some Pilot Logo items. Our membership are filled with givers, those what won raffle prizes regifted those wonderful prizes right back to guests in attendance. Pilot Paul and Selva both regifted their prizes to guests Jan and Carmen. Governor Barbara gifted her Governor’s Pin to her guest, Jan who brought out 5 additional guests.

President Anitha follow suit and gifted her Pin to Prospective Pilot Tamara. Pilot Tamara worked really hard during our 3 Day Project last week and completed almost 20 Service hours. We are excited to see Tamara’s growth in our local club.

Pilot Keora was presented with a gift from President Anitha, for being the most engaging and responsive Pilot via Email and WhatsApp.

It was an evening of Giving and Sharing. Please stay tuned, we also celebrated our Pilot Ambassador tonight.

Sun Oil Limited - A Shell Licensee Back-to-School Community Block Party was a wonderful few days of giving, community, and service! The Pilot Club of Abaco was proud to lend a hand by packing and distributing backpacks, preparing and serving food, and assisting wherever needed.

The hot 🥵blazing summer heat did not stop us!

The Pilot Club of Abaco enjoyed connecting with residents by distributing bottled water and club brochures while sharing our mission of service, leadership, and friendship. Every conversation was an opportunity to build relationships, inspire community involvement, and invite others to make a difference alongside us.

Together, we are growing our light through friendship, one connection at a time.

Emanating Light Through Friendship and Service shines brightest when we uplift those who spend their days caring for others.

The Pilot Club of Abaco was honored to spread a little joy through our Pick Me Up Project, delivering thoughtful gifts and encouragement to community caregivers. A small act of kindness can brighten someone's day and remind them that their compassion does not go unnoticed.

Together, we continue to share hope, gratitude, and friendship one Pick Me Up at a time.
