Classic Dancers Junkanoo Group

Classic Dancers Junkanoo Group The Classic Dancers Junkanoo Group was founded by Kenneth Edward Ferguson in 1986.

The Classic Dancers Junkanoo Organization was founded on the principles of helping young individuals in the community and teaching them the art of our beloved culture called "Junkanoo". The group name was derived by its members being young and could only carry the smaller off the shoulder dancers at that time. The group made it's first appearance in December 1987 in the small community of Westend

, Grand Bahama at the annual Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade. With a rich history, we strive to continue to be that pillar in the community in which young individuals can occupy their time in a safe environment. With your support/sponsorship we can continue to strive to provide that opportunity to young individuals by:

Developing good moral character and healthy bodies in our organization and the community. Providing an outlet for young individuals to be creative and develop new skills in the arts to carryon our cultural heritage of Junkanoo. Develop leadership skills to make everyone member a productive citizen in our community.
