Kinda long post Alert
*God has done it again!!*
He has brought me to another chapter - Chapter 42. Ain’t no shame in sharing that.
During my reflection, I’ve come to realize that many didn’t see this chapter so I feel blessed and proud to share it with the world.
Even though I asked my husband how he feels about being married to a 42 year old and his reply was, “You old!”
Knowing his comical nature, I didn’t take it personal.
Truth be told, based on God’s manual for mankind, I have past the half mark that was promised to me.
Psalm 90:10-12 KJV
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, Yet is their strength labour and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? Even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Half of 70 (three score and ten) is 35; and
Half of 80 (four score) is 40. Only, by God’s grace, I have passed half mark.
The debate for me though, is not whether or not if I’m old, but how I number the days that are gifted to me.
If you would like to really help me celebrate my new chapter, I want you to consider doing one or more of the following:
1. Invite Jesus Christ into your heart if you’ve not already done so. Just in case you’re not sure how to do this, pray this prayer: *Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.*
2. Rededicate your life if you’ve gone astray from Christ. You can pray in your own words or use this prayer as a guide: *Thank you, Jesus, for helping me, loving me, and showing me the way. Thank you for new mercies, for forgiving me. I rededicate myself to you wholly. I surrender my will to your will. I give you back control of my life.*
3. If you’ve already done options 1 or 2, help me lift up the name of Jesus in any way you choose.
If you’ve done any of the above after reading this, please let me know.
