A BIG thank you to RE CENTER @ Baha Mar for donating these beautiful bags to ICE! 🤎 We already put them to good use Monday night during Safe Space: Journal & Art Night.
Our theme was “What’s in Your Bag?” We took a moment to reflect on what we’re carrying with us. ✨

👜 What belongs in your bag?
👜 What are you ready to take out?
👜 What do you want to make room for?

After our reflection and writing activity, everyone chose a motivational word, phrase, or pattern to personalize their bag. Turning something practical into a little reminder of what we’re choosing to carry forward. 🌱

Friday at ICE doesn’t always mean slowing down… sometimes it means getting to WORK! 🎨

We’re in PREP MODE getting the space, the art, and the artists ready for a busy upcoming art season. From creating and organizing to planning, building, firing, and all the behind-the-scenes magic—there’s a LOT happening at ICE. 👀.

We would like to reintroduce Anna-K Cuffe, Anna-K
Our Jamaican ceramic artist, reef rescue diver, ocean activist, and ICE International Resident Artist for 2026. 🇯🇲🌊

Anna-K has been part of the ICE family since 2019, when she first joined us for exhibitions, leading ceramic workshops, pit firings, and creative exchanges. Since then, she has watched ICE evolve through its many transformations and has been an important part of that evolution herself.

Now, in 2026, Anna-K has returned to spend the past five months with us as our International Resident Artist, bringing her practice, knowledge, creativity, and energy back into the space. Her return feels less like welcoming someone new and more like welcoming a familiar member of the ICE family home. 🤎

During her residency, Anna-K has continued to contribute to the space through firings, upcoming exhibitions, demonstrations, and collaborative programming, with even more planned

Her return in 2026 feels like another chapter in a relationship that has been growing since 2019.

Welcome home, Anna-K. 🪸🏺🌊

We’re excited for what this next chapter holds and all that we’ll continue to create together.

💙 WE’RE SWITCHING IT UP! 💙

If you’ve been thinking about coming out to our Safe Space Support Group but couldn’t make it because Thursdays didn’t work for you… THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! 🫶🏽✨

Starting TODAY, we’re moving from Thursdays to MONDAYS at 6 PM! 🎉

It’s honestly so exciting to look back and realize that we ( Ricquel Rolle & Bahamian Borderline ) have been hosting this safe space for the past 9 months. Personally, this group has been exactly what we needed — the community, the support, the connection, and the reminder that we don’t have to navigate everything alone.

Over these past 9 months, we’ve:

🤍 Laughed together
🤍 Cried together
🤍 Broken bread together
🤍 Celebrated birthdays through our birthday club 🎂
🤍 Created art 🎨
🤍 Went on Field trips 🚗
🤍 Written poetry ✍🏽
🤍 Visited the beach 🏝️
🤍 Attended exhibition openings 🖼️
🤍 Attended drum circles 🥁
🤍 And created so many beautiful memories together.

What started as a support group has become so much more.

We’ve built a community.
We’ve built connections.
We’ve built a place where people can show up exactly as they are.

We’ve become family. 🤍

It was great having this UB art class spend some time at ICE. 🎨

As we transition into this next chapter, it’s been exciting to share what ICE is growing into and to open the space to new ideas, perspectives, and conversations.

We always learn so much from Heino and his students, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to have them experience ICE with us.

What a beautiful way to end the week! 🎨✨

The final day of the Summer Arts Immersion Summer Art Intensive at I.C.E. Bahamas was a huge success.

To all of the incredible young artists…thank you for sharing your creativity, passion, and talent with us. It has been a joy watching your confidence and artistic voices grow throughout the week. We wish you all the very best as you continue your creative journeys.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the family and friends who came out to celebrate the students and witness everything they accomplished.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our two inspiring instructors, who guided the students through both Studio Art and Digital Art, sharing their knowledge and encouraging the next generation of artists.

And a very special thank you to Keisha Oliver for bringing this program together and making it all possible year after year.

Here’s to nurturing creativity, building community, and supporting the future of Bahamian art. 💛
