MESSAGE

I wholeheartedly endorse the powerful appeal for peace made by the Holy Father, Pope Leo, during his Palm Sunday Mass. His call for the laying down of arms and the renunciation of violence resonated profoundly with me, as it speaks to the very essence of what all major religions teach.

Indeed, whether we look to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or any of the world's great spiritual traditions, the message is fundamentally the same: love, compassion, tolerance, and self-discipline. Violence finds no true home in any of these teachings. History has shown us time and again that violence only begets more violence and is never a lasting foundation for peace.

An enduring resolution to conflict, including the ones we see in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, must be rooted in dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect — approached with the understanding that, at the deepest level, we are all brothers and sisters.

I urge for and pray that the violence and conflicts may soon come to an end.

Este workshop de trés dias oferece uma experiência imersiva na criação de um Thangka tradicional do Buda em corpo inteiro. Sob a orientação do Mestre Instrutor Ngawang Loday, o workshop explorará as dimensões técnicas e espirituais da arte budista tibetana. A prática combinará mindfulness, precisão e intenção sagrada durante o processo de desenho e pintura.

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Sixth NDC batch (Batch 2026-27, NDC6).
NDC6 will continue to provide simultaneous interpretation in Russian, French and Ladakhi languages with the introduction of Hebrew and Mandarin languages.

Registration will open for NDC6 on 8th February 2026. Teachings will commence on 15 March 2026. The duration of teachings for this batch will be 14 months.

No prior knowledge of Buddhist philosophy is required in order to join, only willingness to learn is needed.

How the Nalanda Courses started:

After the successful launch of the first 5-year Nalanda Masters Course by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 9th December 2016, Tibet House felt that there is a genuine need in the modern world to introduce the rich legacy of the Nalanda Tradition, in a systematic and comprehensive way, delivered via shorter duration courses. Keeping this in mind, Tibet House was extremely pleased to introduce the Nalanda Diploma Course in Buddhist Philosophy (NDC) in 2018 and even a shorter duration course Nalanda Certificate Course (NCC) in 2021. To date, five Nalanda Diploma Courses, three Nalanda Certificate Courses, one Nalanda Introductory course (NIC) and two Nalanda Masters Courses have been launched successfully and close to 9000 participants from 98 countries have participated or are currently enrolled in these courses.

The venerable monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery and the Mystical Arts of Tibet tour will be performing a powerful ceremonial healing puja for physical and mental health and well-being.

We will also be sending heartfelt prayers for the good health and long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and for the swift and complete recovery of our beloved teacher Geshe Phende la following his recent medical procedure.

All are warmly welcomed to attend this sacred ceremony and join in these prayers for healing and well-being.
