Favela Street is an international non-profit organization founded by Rocky Hehakaija that uses street football and sports to empower youth and young women in vulnerable communities, with a strong impact in Rio de Janeiro and Europe.

Together, EduMais and Favela Street 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵! ⚽✨

Last week, our senior high school Entrepreneurship students headed to Ipanema to visit Aussie Coffee and see a thriving business model up close, led by founder Daniel Hobbs!

Beyond getting a behind-the-scenes look at running a successful business, something truly special happened: our students reconnected with school alumni currently working there! They shared real talk about life after graduation and stepping into the business world. 🎓✨

🎉 10 years of transforming lives through education! 🌟

This year, EduMais celebrates a decade of history. And it’s not just any decade: it’s 10 years of opening doors, breaking barriers, building connections, and creating opportunities for our children and youth. ✨️

Thanks to every supporter, volunteer, and team member, our diverse programs for children, teenagers, and young adults continue to grow and expand even further. 💙

EduMais founder and director, Diana Nijboer, shared a special message about this meaningful milestone: “Nothing brings greater joy than creating opportunities for our youth to thrive. The past 10 years of EduMais passed in the blink of an eye. It has been the most daring adventure of my life, and by far the most fulfilling. Watching the young people we educate grow, become self-reliant, and create a lasting impact is the greatest reward I could ever ask for.”
