To talk about *Klango* is to talk about a lifetime dedicated to windsurfing.
A two-time Formula Windsurfing World Champion in the Master and Grand Master divisions, a multiple-time champion across several classes, and a windsurfer since the 1970s, *Ricardo Conde* has built a legacy that spans generations.
But this time, *Klango* took on a different and enormous challenge: organizing the 2026 World Championship in Guarapari! 🇧🇷🏆
Organizing a World Championship is no easy task. It takes courage, professionalism, dedication and, above all, a deep love for the sport.
And *Klango* stepped up to the challenge!
Driven by a dream and by the passion he has carried for so many decades, he managed to bring a World Championship back to Brazilian waters after more than 10 years without an event of this magnitude in our country.
And this isn’t just any championship.
Guarapari 2026 also marks the return of the battle for the Formula Fin World Championship title, a historic class that has played an extremely important role in developing generations of windsurfers.
Alongside it will be Formula Foil, representing the evolution of the sport and serving as an important connection to the Olympic IQFoil class.
In other words, Guarapari will bring together top athletes from two classes that represent the history, present and future of windsurfing. 🌊💨
And when it comes to history, few people have as many stories to tell as *Klango*.
Decades of championships, travels, battles on the water, friendships, jokes and challenges. But all of these stories ultimately lead back to the same place:
the pure joy of windsurfing. ❤️
Maybe that’s exactly why *Klango* is one of the best-known and most beloved figures in Brazilian windsurfing.
And there’s more!
*Klango* is also an example of discipline.
Just as *Kelly Slater* continues to be a benchmark for longevity in surfing, *Klango* keeps competing at a high level year after year, decade after decade.
Those who know him know the deal: he loves to joke around, tease people and throw down a challenge. 😂
And some of the younger guys have already fallen into that trap…
They look at *Klango* and think it’s going to be easy. Until he gets on the water, haha.
Then the man transforms! 🔥💨
And there’s a lesson here for every generation: longevity in sport requires passion, but it also takes dedication. It means training, taking care of your body, hitting the gym, keeping your mind strong and continuing to do everything necessary to stay competitive.
