Institution AGIR
Recife is one of the great metropolises of the country, which is characterized by physical territorial differences that was structured throughout history by the vast social economic differences between its inhabitants. Despite significant economic development, the city of Recife recogn
izes the existence of 66 special zones of social interest, disseminated by urban space. Among these includes the first political administrative region, where the poorest societal layers were forced to build stilts in the water and mud on the banks of the river Capibaribe, giving rise to a major slums the region. This is in contrast to the other large modern apartment buildings on the site. All that led to the foundation of Institution AGIR, a non-governmental organization, non-profit that aims to promote social, educational and vocational assistance to children, adolescents and young people who are in vulnerable situations. The Institution was founded on June 28, 1998 registered in CNPJ with identification number 10.540.928/0001-12, with its headquarters located at Francisco Alves st., 64, Ilha do Leite district- Recife / PE. We currently operate two projects involving both children and adolescents, but also the local community.
