A little bit of much needed rain.

…and a bridge for MG to get to her container without having to use a life vest 🫣🤣

We were gonna get a truck load of dirt to fill in the middle of our property but didn’t have time before the rain hit us.

Can’t wait for the construction phase to be finished so we can plant some GRASS! I’ve about had my fill of dark red Maringá dirt 🥴

Update on my health for those who have been asking and praying for me:

We now have the diagnosis of what caused the hemorrhage in my brain back in March - cavernoma.

I’m doing well and have chosen NOT to operate. Meanwhile?…Nothing required, life as normal and return in 6 months with a new MRI for a checkup. After that only 1x per year. 😊

Thank you for all your prayers.

This is what it looks like when you know your authority in Jesus’s name…the weather obeys the Name and the purpose. It’s biblical!

We have things to do! I can’t have our construction team missing days due to rain! So let the rain fall on the days they don’t work.

And the best part?
They initially laughed.
But I wasn’t joking.
Now they COUNT on it. One of our first construction workers back in February actually got BAPTIZED 6 wks into it because he learned the weather obeys the Name and the one who uses it.

Winter in Maringá, Brazil: probably different than you imagined.

Winter in Maringá is not only COLD but we have no inside heat…anywhere! No hot water either. What Brazilians do have is electrically heated shower-heads, which do their best on really cold days. The reality is that no one has the money to be investing in expensive stuff that they only get used for 2 months of the year. So people just push through.

It’s currently 44 degrees, and last night was NOT the coldest night of this week.

But God is SO GOOD to me that MY HOUSE has electric heaters on both my kitchen and bathroom sink faucets.

Do you have ANY IDEA how amazing it is to be able to wash my hands and face in (decently) hot water while it’s 44 degree outside and probably low 50s inside? I have a total of 16 years in this country and this is the first time I don’t cringe at having to wash my hands or dishes in the winter.

I just can’t get over how good God is!
I feel so rich 🥹🙌

Last night was her test run, first night in her future home. She arranged her room, swept and mopped. She made her bed and put her stuffed animal and crochet ballerina doll on her pillow. Then she slept.

She never turned the light off.

We left our door open for her, but she didn’t need it. She never said so, but I assume the silence must be deafening to a young woman accustomed to living with 15 other teenagers.

Next time she stays the night we’ll have a night light for her. ❤️

Thanks to all of you who spiritually and financially participate, no matter the distance.

This is REAL church.
This is the body.

The move!
This week Alex and I have been able to move into our house on the property! Thank God things are moving into place. Our perimeter wall is absolutely gorgeous and I feel rich with running hot water in the bathroom and kitchen sinks. I’ve been living in Brazil most of my adult life, off and on for the past 20 years but straight through for these past 14 years and I’ve never had hot water in the sink.
We have quite a bit of painting to do on the front wall and still around the ends of the house but now that we are living here it’s a lot easier to work on things!
