Running for a Greater Purpose 🏃‍♂️🌍

Something amazing is happening in our community!
On December 6th, we will run — not just for fun, but for a mission that goes far beyond our city.

Together, the Community Church of Acácias, the International School of Carpina, and Alcance Brasil / World Renewal have joined forces to support the planting of the Community Church of Mozambique and the Cresce Criança Mozambique project — led by our dear missionaries, Pastor Asueli and Miria Nack.

This race is more than a competition — it’s a way to bring hope, love, and faith to children and families in Africa. Each step we take is a step toward transforming lives.

At our school, the “House Competition” is also joining the cause — the house that brings the most runners will earn points toward the annual championship while helping build the Kingdom of God in Mozambique.

We are thrilled to see so many parents, students, and church members ready to run for this cause.
Together, we believe that every mile matters — and every heartbeat can echo the love of Christ to the nations. ❤️🌍

Prayer Requests 🙏

Please pray for the organization and logistics of the race — that everything, from the setup to the track and volunteers, will run smoothly.

Pray that the message of the Gospel shared during the event will deeply touch hearts, and that many lives will surrender to Christ.

Pray that through this event, our community will be reminded that we are called to run the race of faith — together, for His glory.

Week of Gratitude and Perseverance

Date: November 2nd, 2025
Location: International School of Carpina • Desterro Community • Community Church of Carpina

Summary:
As we approach the end of another school year at the International School of Carpina, we are filled with gratitude. This has been a season of victories and challenges, but above all, a time of witnessing God’s hand at work. We praise Him for the impact this ministry continues to have in the lives of students and their families.

Impact / Results:
We have seen students grow not only academically but also spiritually. Please pray for the Thanksgiving Celebration, a beautiful opportunity to share the Gospel, and for the Christmas program, where we will celebrate the birth of Christ.

We also ask for prayers regarding enrollments for 2025. We’ve faced some criticism and opposition, but we trust that the testimony of God’s work will speak louder — showing that the International School ministry is forming not only capable students but citizens who fear the Lord.

In Desterro, we are praying for a new partnership. A church from Pau D’Alho will host a Community Outreach Day, and we pray that it will bear fruit — that lives will be touched and disciples will be made.

At the Community Church of Carpina, we thank God for opportunities to serve in Preaching and Worship Ministries, and to witness God working through the Men’s and Women’s Ministries to strengthen families.

Personal Life:
Alyssa is now in her ninth month of pregnancy, and contractions have increased since yesterday. We are waiting for the baby’s arrival any moment now! Please pray for a safe delivery and for God’s provision during this special season for our family and ministry.

Next Steps:

Prepare for the Thanksgiving and Christmas programs at school.
