Good Morning from Brazil. It's cold here today. Winter is here. Dog blankets, dog coats are much needed. The two dogs from the abandoned house are doing really well. They play constantly and are very happy. Their sores have all healed and they look super well.

Good Evening from Brazil. The dog that was in a terrible state had to be close shaved due to the many Matts she had. It’s turned cold here as next week is the start of winter. We are looking for help with medium and large dog coats to get the oldies like Shane and Red through winter. Is anyone would like to send some dog coats we would be very happy. Meanwhile Red has settled down to her new home. We also need donations for Galliprant, which is available in the USA and Canada. This is for Rusty. Another long day as we took the new dog to be groomed. Huge bundles of dirty fur had to come off. The day started with a huge storm and torrential rain and we nearly cancelled our appointment. Our vet took blood samples and tomorrow she will have an x-ray as her back leg appears to be broken. We have to verify if it is an old injury or not. We are desperately short of funds and have had huge medical bills for several dogs. Today we incurred more: blood tests, grooming, and tomorrow Xrays. Please donate to paypal [email protected] We have spent a lot on the dogs that died. Pumpkin and Kiwi and have several dogs under treatment. Just one month of Rusty’s treatment costs over 100 USA (galliprant) He also is taking Neuro Cebral 120 reais. Rusty is walking again. We don’t know for how long he will keep going. Hopefully for a while longer It has been a disastrous month.

Another day in Paradise! We rescued a ten year old dog in a deplorable state. She is limping badly and totally matted. She has Chow Chow or Sharpei in her as she has a black tongue. We can’t get the matting removed until tomorrow or Tuesday. She is slow and depressed right now. Everything is different for her. When we arrived there was no food or water during the heat of the day. No bed for her at night it gets cold and is only warm for a few hours during the day. She was locked out of her house day and night no cover from rain. There were several other dogs in the area. She is docile and doesn’t complain. I guess she was just resigned to her life style.

Pumpkin is still very ill. We are doing our best for him and can only hope for the best. Between Brad’s mouth ulcer and the death of Kiwi and Pumpkin´s meds we have spent a small fortune. Removal of Brad’s mouth tumor 600 Reais or $122 USA. Application of blood in clinic 150 Reais or 30.50 USA. Blood for transfusion 420 reais or $85.50 USA and blood tests for two consultations reais 440 or 89.50.USA
Galliprant for Rusty, Pumpkin and Luke 900 Reais or $183 USA Organo Cerebal.
Various other meds prednisone and others totaling another 700 reais or $150 usa.

Having a heart breaking day. Kiwi died and Pumpkin is having a blood transfusion right now. One of the worst days ever. Please pray for Pumpkin. He is Kiwi's sister. Will be doing the tribute later as Carlos is at the vet clinic and I am home as short staffed.

Kiwi the dog with liquid on her lungs is doing slightly better. Pumpkin is worse and things are looking bad. If he survives until tomorrow morning he will have a blood transfusion. Nothing in the blood tests suggest what is wrong apart from anemia. Tick disease has been ruled out. Brad had a mouth tumor, which we know is malignant and will grow again. We are just buying him more time. Feeling very stressed with all this going on.

Pumpkins results are through he has anemia, low red cell count and infection. Face book is driving me mad. I can’t post the blood tests or Pumpkin. Maybe I am over tired. Little Kiwi is slightly better. I will try one last time to get this on FB if not I will quit and try again tomorrow. We have to take Brad for surgery tomorrow on his mouth tumor. Evening from Brazil it is not a particularly good one. We took Pumpkin back to the clinic and extensive blood tests have been done we will know more when the exams come back. Kiwi Pumpkin’s sister has liquid in her left lung. It’s horrible to see her struggle to get enough air. She has been medicated and we are hoping to see an improvement tomorrow. We have another dog that has to go to the clinic. We can’t take more than two dogs at a time. Brad has a nasty looking mouth tumor that needs to come off. It will be an expensive month for May. I am attaching their photos and prescription to the post. If anyone would like to help we would be grateful. We still haven’t reached the match. Things are going very slowly here.
