At Rural Agroecology Network, we embrace April as a season of renewal, growth, and responsibility. This month is the peak panting time in Uganda and we continue to encourage all farmers to return to our roots by planting and multiplying our local indigenous seeds.
Planting local will help farmers move out of the expensive hybrid seeds' dependency, secure the future and grow freedom for a more resilient and sustainable food system.
Indigenous seeds are life, they carry communities' heritage, resilience, and independence.
