Last week there was a beautiful Black Women’s March in Brasilia ( more on that historic event later) and we took advantage of a week of gatherings to reconnect, inspire, co-create and celebrate. On Nov. 24th we were so delighted to be in the company of the Nucleus of Black Women within Cultne.TV, caught up with good sis Documentarian, Actress, writer/director and Cultural preservationist Jana Guinond, Journalist and author Kiratiana who also covered COP30 -check out her page for all kinds of diaspora bridging and big event focused content. We had the opportunity to sing the praises of Queen Mother Deta Lima in person and read the new work of Valeria Lima about the matriarchs in her family who inspired a spiritual, musical and esthetic movement to take back the self esteem of Black communities in Salvador, in Brazil and around the world! What a way to start the week!
