Last week, as part of London Climate Action Week, we welcomed Indigenous women leaders from to our gathering.

The conversations were a powerful reminder that protecting forests is inseparable from protecting the people who have cared for them for generations.

Together with Amazon Watch Executive Director and Indigenous activist we explored a truth that is too often overlooked: Indigenous women are not on the margins of climate action, they are at its heart. As leaders, knowledge holders and defenders of land, they are also too often the first to face the consequences of extraction and environmental destruction.

We were also honoured to screen Warriors, ’s short film for , which asks a simple question: what happens when technology is placed in the hands of Indigenous women? The answer is transformative.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, listened, learned and stood alongside this extraordinary community of leaders.

Their message was clear: defending biomes is defending life.

From nature. Back to nature. We Are All Forests.

In a candid interview with Dr Naoko Ishii - former CEO of the Global Environment Facility and now Director of the University of Tokyo’s Centre for Global Commons - she shares her view on how our economic systems need to be engineered such that they protect life and not destroy it.

This awakening happened later in life for her when she came to learn about the science behind the planetary boundaries framework by Professor Johan Rockström.

Recorded at the gathering at the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty in Santa Marta, Colombia.

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the voices using their platforms to champion a more inclusive world.

Niomi Smart has long advocated for conscious living, kindness, and the importance of creating positive change through everyday actions. Wearing the Goal 10 , she stands in support of a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive free from discrimination and inequality.

16/06/2026

The Goal 10 represents Reduced Inequalities.

Crafted from 100% recycled Parley Ocean Plastic® and finished with a bead made from Humanium Metal, created from decommissioned illegal fi****ms, every band is designed to transform materials with a difficult past into a symbol of hope, equality and collective action.

This Pride Month, Goal 10 reminds us that progress is never guaranteed. According to recent data from ILGA World, same-sex relationships remain criminalised in more than 60 countries worldwide, while many LGBTQ+ communities continue to face discrimination, violence, and barriers to equal rights.

Pride is a celebration of how far we’ve come and a call to action for the work that remains.

Wear your values. Stand for equality.

The ocean covers more than 70% of our planet, produces much of the oxygen we breathe, and helps regulate the climate that sustains all life on Earth.

Yet our oceans are under increasing pressure. Scientists estimate that more than 11 million tonnes of plastic enter the ocean every year, threatening marine ecosystems, wildlife, and coastal communities.

This World Oceans Day, we’re celebrating our incredible – the Ambassadors, advocates, athletes, artists, scientists, and changemakers who have joined us in championing SDG 14: Life Below Water.

Their voices help shine a light on one of the most important challenges of our time: protecting the health of our oceans for future generations.

Healthy oceans are possible and the solutions exist… now it’s time to act.

In 2019, we partnered with filmmaker Andrew Morgan, director of The True Cost, to create our Voices mini-documentary series, exploring the stories behind the UN’s Global Goals and the extraordinary people driving change around the world.

One of those voices was Carolina Chavarría, the Nicoya Peninsula Waterkeeper in Costa Rica.

As tourism transformed the once-sleepy surf town of Santa Teresa, so too came the challenge of increasing plastic pollution. Carolina made it her mission to protect the region’s beaches, waterways, and marine ecosystems.

What started with just four people collecting waste along the shoreline grew into a community movement. Through beach clean-ups, recycling initiatives, and local education programmes, Carolina has helped remove tonnes of plastic from the environment while creating long-term solutions to prevent waste from reaching the ocean.

Her work reminds us that protecting Life Below Water starts long before plastic reaches the sea. It starts within communities, through leadership, collaboration, and the determination to create change.

This World Oceans Day, we’re celebrating Carolina and all those working to protect our blue planet for generations to come.
