The Arvoredo Institute is a non-governmental organization - NGO, founded on June 5, 2016, world environment day. In order to facilitate access to actions and environmental knowledge, we seek to awaken in a didactic and effective way the social interest in preservation, conservation and sustainable development. We respect life, people and the environment, cultivating ethics and transparency as valu

es that we observe in the search for the formation of a generation whose mission is to make the world greener. Developing knowledge management based on learning, coexistence and interaction is more than our goal, it is our real challenge. And for that, we count on public and private administration partners who are aware and committed to our cause, who want to leave their mark on the planet, participating in the development of a more human and sustainable world

It lives in holes dug in the ground, hence the name Burrowing owl. These birds have good eyesight as their main feature. They can see up to 100 times more than a human. Also, they have great hearing. Small in size, the burrowing owl has a round head, white eyebrows, yellow eyes, and long legs. The male is slightly larger and lighter than the female. During the day, this species sunbathes on tree branches or naps in its nest. The breeding season starts between March and April. The female lays an average of 6 to 11 eggs and the incubation lasts from 28 to 30 days, being carried out only by the female. When the young are born, the responsibility for the offspring falls on the males.
