Brazil Mission

In July of 2015 our mission team from His House Ministries in Mayfield, Ky will be going to Belo Horizonte, Brazil. That translates to Beautiful Horizon.

Team: Miranda Reed, Fernando Rodrigues, Marcello Suman, Shanna Dowdy, Helen Thurston, Brent Williams, Mark Daily, Derek Wilford, Haley Zehner, Joao Carlos, Emily Robins. There are favelas (slums)all over the country of Brazil, but we work in one specific favela at this time. The name is Acaba Mundo which translates to "the end of the world". There are 6,000 families living in this particular slum.

The homes are made from concrete and cylinder blocks. We have traveled to Belo Horizonte for the past 3 years to work with Fernando Rodriguez, Leader of the Acaba Mundo Favela Ministry, and completed projects such as building a new home, reconstructing a home that had a bad foundation, leading worship, preaching the Gospel, building relationships, supporting financially, giving clothes and food, playing soccer, playing with the kids, making home visits to pray for families, and many other community outreach projects. We look forward to this mission each year as we come home more blessed and impacted for the Kingdom than we could ever imagine blessing the Brazilian people.

Grand opening today for Isaiah 61 . Our hearts can not contain all the excitement, joy, and love we feel for this amazing place. Gods plan was stirring in this place so so long ago. These kids will be forever changed and first and formost it’s all surrounded by the gospel!
