Dear partners and friends of AREGALA. I would like to inform you that from the 10th until the 17th of October I will be in Cuba sharing the success of this great international event that our Cuban brothers of The Culinary Federation of Cuba are organizing. AREGALA cannot be absent since in 1996, after the meeting in Lima with Chefs Gilberto Smith (F), José Luis Santana and Eddy Fernández, we agreed to organize the FIRST CULINARY FESTIVAL OF CUBA. But I also would like to tell you that AREGALA was The First World Association to create a day for chefs, cooks, pastry, bakers and all culinary professionals and that they aim at the noble profession of knowing how to feed. This is how, together with the appointees and other chefs from 20 countries and with the initiative of this humble chef, the incomprehensible lack in which these worthy professionals had a day for them ended. It was proclaimed , that the day would be October 16 in accordance with the day to the right to food proclaiming years before by FAO - UN. Only many years later and without knowing yet why it was chosen at an early date, the WACS creates a day with similar characteristics, which makes us proud because the humility that represents all the culinary, makes them deserving of all the tributes.
Then and in advance since I will not be able to do it during such an important event in CUBA, I wish all the colleagues a HAPPY DAY OF THE CHEF AND THE WORLD CULINARY WORKER.
