Honoured to be speaking at 🇺🇳
On 19 June, I’ll be at the Palais des Nations in Geneva for the Global Conference on AI, Security and Ethics, hosted by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR).
In my lightning talk, “When Security Justifies Opacity”, I’ll discuss how AI systems in post-conflict and fragile settings shape access to social protection, and why human agency and algorithmic accountability matter for sustaining peace.
Proud to bring perspectives from Latin America and the Global Majority to this conversation, and to share some of the work we are developing through the Public Innovation and Emerging Technologies Programme at Policy Hub for Inclusive Development.
