Kaleidoscope Family Festival

We had a very exciting chat tonight at training tonight and can now share the exciting news with you all especially to all our fans in the Kilcullen Community ❣️

The amazing people in Kaleidoscope have given us 1 Family pass.. YES you heard right! 1 Family Pass to this wonderful festival .. yes that's two adults and 2 children to attend this festival... but wait.. the most exciting part is it's for the WEEKEND 💃💃🕺🕺

We will be putting our RAFFLE live in the next day or two and here is what you need to do:

Buy a ticket they will be €5 each. We will have a live draw of one of our responders picking a lucky ticket out and YOU might be the lucky 🏆

Did you know you can speak to your pharmacist for recommendations on remedies for some of these illnesses.

You won't be seen quicker in A+E coming in an ambulance.. keep them free for serious emergencies ❤️

Call 112/999 in an emergency

🚑Please remember that you should only call 112 or 999 in an emergency. Being brought to hospital by ambulance will not get you seen any quicker once there.

Please help us to keep ambulances available for life threatening emergencies.

Just some of our responders practicing their CPR. Some are already answering emergency calls in the community and we're very lucky to have them and some of these are going to be part of the new Calverstown Community First Responders .

We are enjoying their time, their stories and teaching them some new life saving skills to bring to the Calverstown Community.

Do you see CFR pages, CFRs maybe running into neighbours houses or maybe we've been in your house.

Have you wondered what it is we do? How we help? What it takes to be part of our team?

✅Be aged 18 years of age
✅ Have a full driving licence
✅Be available to attend training sessions
✅Be a team player

We are a group of Volunteers. We work alongside The National Ambulance Service. We attend certain emergencies in the Kilcullen Community such as

❤️ Cardiac/Respiratory arrest
❤️Choking
❤️Stroke
❤️Chest pain

When you ring 112/999 we will get a text message same time as an ambulance is dispatched. Sometimes we arrive before the ambulance and provide medical assistance until a crew arrive and sometimes we arrive at the same time

Think you would like to be part of the team? Want to give back to the community and feel this would be a great way to do so? Well come along and join us.

We will provide full training and all we ask is to help us for a couple of hours during the week.

A Massive Thank You To the Children that came and learned the most skill you can have..CPR.
We trained some of the children aged 8 years and up today on some important skills. They know now how to
✅Ring the Emergency Services
✅Have your Eircode ready
✅How to check if someone is responding to you calling them or not
✅How to start CPR
✅How to use an AED, put the pads on and give them a shock of needed.

We were delighted knowing they are going home with these skills.

Our First course is kicking off at 10am in the morning. We can't wait to meet the children signed up and show you some life saving skills. Kilcullen will be even safer knowing these children can help!
