If you want to help Yaguara return to the wild, comment “nature” — donations are doubled through Dec 8 through the organization Big Give.
And, thank you so much for reading this story and spending a few minutes here with me.
Writing this post gave me a moment to look back on the last two years — everything I’ve experienced, learned, and let go of. It’s been a wild, emotional ride that’s reshaped how I see the world, nature, love, and what actually matters.
If you read the post, felt something in it, or are cheering us on from wherever you are — thank you.
Your presence and your support mean more than you know.
A Note About Ambue Ari:
Parque Ambue Ari is one of the animal sanctuaries run by Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi in the Bolivian Amazon. It specializes in caring for big and small felines — jaguars, pumas, ocelots, margays, and Geoffroy’s cats — as well as monkeys, birds, coatis, chanchos, and more.
Every animal there has been rescued from the illegal pet trade, wildfires, habitat loss, or other human-caused harm. Ambue Ari gives them a second chance: releasing them back into the wild when possible, and otherwise providing the best care in an environment that lets them live as freely and naturally as they can.
