ASEAN Youth Organization - Brunei

ASEAN Youth Organization was founded in 2013 by two ASEAN youths, Senjaya Mulia from Indonesia and Vanna Hay from Cambodia. E-mail : [email protected]

This initiation arose because they were part of the ASEAN Community page, an online platform managed by youths from ASEAN countries and shared about ASEAN Cultures. In 2018, AYO received the ASEAN name authorization from the ASEAN Secretariat and established the AYO Social Enterprise in Singapore and Indonesia. Since then, AYO has established other arm’s organizations to support its sustainability: AYOAcademy, AYORecent, AYOPost, and AYOEnviro.

Alhamdulillah, segala puji bagi Allah s.w.t, dengan penuh rasa syukur sukacita memaklumkan bahawa Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali melalui Pusat Penyelidikan Halalan Thayyiban kembali lagi mengadakan ’Infaq Preloved Baju Raya’ bagi siri ketiga dan kali ini dengan kerjasama Fakulti Sains Halal dan Pelancongan Mampan, Maktabah UNISSA dan ASEAN Youth Organisation, Brunei Chapter.

Projek ini diungkayahkan bagi berkongsi kasih menyumbangkan pakaian kepada yang memerlukan untuk memeriahkan sambutan Hari Raya.

Warga UNISSA dan Orang Awam dialu-alukan untuk menyumbangkan pakaian yang masih dalam keadaan elok pada hari, tarikh, dan tempat yang dinyatakan di bawah:

Connected or Disconnected? 📳

On 19 December 2025, Youth Empowerment Conference (YEC), in collaboration with AYO Brunei, successfully held a meaningful workshop exploring the emotional impact of social media on teenagers.

The session encouraged youths to reflect on their social media habits, understand their emotional well-being, and learn practical ways to build healthier and more intentional digital activities.

Youth Empowerment Conference, in collaboration with AYO Brunei, is organizing a study workshop to explore the effects of social media on teenagers.

Social media is a huge part of teen life—fun, creative, and empowering, yet sometimes overwhelming. It can lead to comparison, overthinking, or stress.

This interactive workshop provides a safe and supportive space for teens to explore how social media affects their emotions and self-confidence, while learning practical ways to navigate the online world mindfully.

Workshop highlights include:

⚠️ Identify online habits that may trigger anxiety, FOMO, or low self-esteem.

YouthXperience was truly an amazing experience. It was more than just an event—it was a space where connections were built, stories were shared, and the power of youth advocacy came alive.

From engaging with passionate young leaders to meeting and learning from other incredible NGOs, every conversation sparked inspiration and reminded us of the strength we have when we come together. The exchange of ideas, the energy in the room, and the collective determination to make a difference brought the spirit of advocacy to its highest point.

This experience has not only deepened our understanding of the challenges we face but also fueled our drive to create meaningful change. We’re carrying forward the lessons, friendships, and inspiration gained here, ready to turn them into action.

29 August 2025 – We are honoured to welcome Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Brunei Darussalam, at our booth during the Opening Ceremony of YouthXperience 2025, held in conjunction with the 20th National Youth Day.

Represeting AYO Brunei, Muqri Aiman bin Haji Sabtu, Marketing & Communication Manager, had the privilege to showcase our initiatives in youth leadership and community engagement, alongside fellow youth organisations AYAN Brunei and The YoungSEAkers Brunei.
