One of Bruneiā€™s more unique public events returns this Sunday to Monday, with the Royal Brunei Air Forces opening the doors of its Rimba base to the public to mark the Royal Brunei Armed Forcesā€™ (RBAF) 65th anniversary.

The RBAF anniversary celebrations have long been a crowd and family favourite, giving the public a rare glimpse into Bruneiā€™s military capabilities while also offering activities for visitors of all ages.

With each military branch typically taking turns to host the festivities, this yearā€™s celebration is hosted by the Royal Brunei Air Force, with supporting the event by facilitating the bazaar featuring more than 80 local vendors.

Visitors can look forward to the highly anticipated air show, military demonstrations and displays, alongside family-friendly activities including horse riding, archery and pedal boating.

The event is accessible to the public via shuttle buses from UBD's Chancellor Hall and Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in Rimba.

Singapore Association Dinner 2026 Celebrates Community Spirit and Giving Back.

The Singapore Association in Brunei Darussalam successfully hosted the Singapore Association Dinner 2026 on Saturday, 23 May 2026 at the Cesar Grand Hall, The Mulia Hotel, bringing together members of the Singaporean community, partners, sponsors, and friends for an evening of celebration, networking, and community spirit.

In his welcome address, Singapore Association President Melhan Adam highlighted the importance of volunteerism, community spirit, and giving back to the wider Bruneian community.
He shared that although the Singaporean community in Brunei may be small in numbers, it continues to demonstrate strong kampung spirit and a commitment towards meaningful community initiatives.

One of the initiatives supported this year is a year-long School Breakfast Scheme for needy students of Sekolah Rendah Rataie, Temburong, through a collaboration with Majlis Kesejahteraan Masyarakat (MKM).
He added that initiatives such as these can make a meaningful difference in supporting studentsā€™ well-being and learning.

The Association remains committed to fostering friendship, community engagement, and strong people-to-people ties between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

The Singapore Association in Brunei Darussalam successfully hosted the Singapore Association Dinner 2026 on Saturday, 23 May 2026 at the Cesar Grand Hall, The Mulia Hotel, bringing together members of the Singaporean community, partners, sponsors, and friends for an evening of celebration, networking, and community spirit.

Platinum sponsors were also recognised during the evening for their generous support towards the success of the event.

The Association remains committed to fostering friendship, community engagement, and strong people-to-people ties between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

The Singapore retro-themed event was graced by Guest of Honour His Excellency Yip Wei Kiat, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam.
