Majlis Belia Brunei Majlis Belia Brunei (MBB) merupakan badan induk gabungan persatuan belia yang berdaftar di seluruh Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Majlis Belia Brunei (Brunei Youth Council) adalah badan sukarela dan berperanan serta bertanggungjawab sebagai agen belia selaku penghubung, penyelaras, perunding dan seumpamanya di antara golongan belia Brunei dan pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan. MBB adalah sebuah Persatuan NGO (Non-Governmental Volunteer Organisation). salah satu Objektif MBB adalah untuk menyatukan belia- belia dan badan- badan

Persatuan di Negara Brunei Darussalam untuk membantu membangunkan negara Brunei Darusaalam dari segala aspek kehidupan, ekonomi, Sosial dan alam sekitar dengan selaras dengan falsafah Melayu Islam Beraja, Wawasan 2035 dan Dasar Belia Negara Brunei Darussalam. Brunei Youth Council (MBB) is a coordinating body for all affiliated youth and welfare associations in Brunei Darussalam. It is non-government and non-profit volunteer organisation. One of the main aims and objectives of Brunei Youth Council is to unite all youth and welfare bodies in Brunei into one huge and solid council so that together we can strongly promote the economic, social, cultural, physical, mental and spiritual development of youth and instil in them a sense of national identity and a spirit of dedicated, responsible and useful youth citizens.

🛑 “Why didn’t the victim just leave?” – This is the wrong question. 🛑

During our “The Invisible Threat” Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving over 100 teachers, counselors, authorities, and youth, we unpacked the deep psychological reality of manipulation.

The grassroots consensus revealed a harsh truth we often overlook: Grooming victims protect their abusers not because they are “naive”, but due to severe Emotional Vulnerability and Trauma Bonding.

Terrifyingly, our environment unconsciously normalizes grooming culture through pop song lyrics and media trends. When victims finally try to speak up, the cultural pressure of “protecting reputation” (menjaga aib) from their own families destroys their only way out.

Mental well-being and physical safety should NEVER be sacrificed to protect a public image. Parental supervision and digital boundaries are not restrictions—they are absolute protection.

We must stop asking, “Why didn’t they leave?” and start asking, “Why did we make it so hard for them to stay safe?”

🛑 “Mengapa mangsa tidak melarikan diri?” – Ini adalah soalan yang salah. 🛑

Dalam sesi Perbincangan Kumpulan Fokus (FGD) “Ancaman Tersembunyi” yang membabitkan lebih 100 guru, kaunselor, penguat kuasa, dan belia, kami merungkai realiti psikologi yang sangat mendalam.

Dapatan akar umbi mendedahkan perkara yang masyarakat kita sering terlepas pandang: Mangsa grooming melindungi pemangsa mereka bukan kerana mereka “naif”, tetapi akibat Kerentanan Emosi dan Trauma Bonding. 

Lebih menakutkan, persekitaran kita secara tidak sedar menormalisasikan budaya grooming melalui lirik lagu dan budaya pop. Dan apabila mangsa akhirnya cuba untuk bersuara, tekanan keluarga atas nama “menjaga aib” memusnahkan satu-satunya jalan keluar mereka.

Kesejahteraan mental dan keselamatan fizikal TIDAK PATUT dikorbankan demi menjaga reputasi. Penyeliaan ibu bapa dan kawalan digital bukanlah satu bentuk kongkongan—ia adalah satu lapisan perlindungan mutlak. 

Kita mesti berhenti bertanya, “Mengapa mereka tidak pergi?” dan mula bertanya, “Mengapa kita menyukarkan mereka untuk kekal selamat?”

🚨 Danger doesn’t always look dangerous. Do we really understand what ‘Grooming’ is?

🚨Our “The Invisible Threat” survey in Brunei revealed an alarming reality: Over 71% of respondents don’t know or are unsure of where to report suspected grooming involving children and youth! Awareness without accessible reporting pathways is ineffective.

Let’s break the pattern and unlearn the myths:
🛑 Myth: Groomers are usually strangers online.
✅ Fact: Groomers are often trusted people, and a good public image or status does not automatically make someone safe.
🛑 Myth: If victims accept gifts, they share the blame.
✅ Fact: Manipulation often disguises itself as care. Sadly, 17.3% of our respondents still believe victims share the blame for falling into these psychological traps.

We must stop asking, “Why didn’t they speak up sooner?” and start asking, “What made them feel unsafe to speak?”

Protecting vulnerable people begins with everyone.

🚨 Bahaya tidak semestinya kelihatan seperti bahaya. Adakah kita benar-benar faham apa itu ‘Grooming’?

🚨Melalui kaji selidik “Ancaman Tersembunyi” di Brunei, satu realiti yang membimbangkan telah terdedah: Lebih 71% daripada kita tidak tahu atau tidak pasti ke mana hendak melaporkan kes grooming yang melibatkan kanak-kanak dan belia!

Mari kita pecahkan stigma dan fahami fakta sebenar:
🛑 Mitos: Pelaku grooming biasanya orang yang tidak dikenali di internet.
✅ Fakta: Pelaku sering kali adalah individu yang dikenali, dipercayai, atau mempunyai reputasi yang baik dalam komuniti.
🛑 Mitos: Kalau mangsa terima hadiah, maknanya mereka bersetuju.
✅ Fakta: Manipulasi emosi sering bermula dengan pujian dan hadiah. 17.3% masyarakat kita masih menyalahkan mangsa atas taktik manipulasi ini.

Masyarakat perlu berhenti bertanya: “Kenapa dorang inda bersuara awal-awal?” dan mula bertanya: “Apa yang membuatkan dorang rasa inda selamat untuk bersuara?”

Kesedaran tidak membawa makna jika kita terus berdiam diri. Perlindungan bermula dengan KITA semua.
