Two speakers, two different stories, and plenty to learn from! 🎤

Join us this Tuesday at Brunei Speakers’ Club as Allen Ang and Hj Irshad Ahamed share their experiences and lessons through their prepared speeches.

🗣️ Different Folks, Different Strokes by Allen Ang, DL2 (L1P2)

From working with numbers as an accountant to closing sales as an insurance agent, Allen quickly learned that communicating with people takes a different set of skills. Hear how he has grown and adapted over the past 16 years!

🗣️ Leading from Where I Stand by Hj Irshad Ahamed, DL1 (DL2, P1)

Think you need a formal title to be a leader? Irshad explores how self-awareness and collaboration can help us lead in our everyday lives, no matter where we stand.

October is here, and we’re kicking it off with a fresh evening of speeches, stories and a little bit of spontaneous speaking!

Fun fact: October is actually a special month in Toastmasters history. The very first permanent Toastmasters club meeting took place on 22 October 1924 in the basement of a YMCA in Santa Ana, California. Almost 102 years later, we’re still gathering to speak, learn and cheer each other on.

So what better way to start the month than with another evening of prepared speeches, Table Topics and plenty of applause? 👏

Come join us, whether you’re a regular, a first-timer, or someone who’s been “meaning to try Toastmasters” for months. 😄
