A Friendly Reminder from Latte and the Bermuda SPCA!

With winds picking up and unsettled weather expected on Sunday, we’re reminding pet owners to take a few extra precautions to keep their furry friends safe.

For dogs and cats that spend time outdoors, please be mindful of changing weather conditions and consider bringing them inside during periods of strong winds and heavy rain.

Strong winds and unfamiliar noises can be frightening for animals, so providing a quiet, secure space can help them feel safe and comfortable.

Remember to ensure your pets have access to fresh water and a dry, sheltered space, and to secure outdoor kennels and any loose items that could become hazardous.

And while you’re looking out for your own pets, why not share this friendly reminder with a neighbour who has animals, too?

With a little preparation, we can all help keep our animals safe and comfortable during unsettled weather.

Stay safe, and please look out for our four-legged friends!

A kinder world starts with what we teach our children today.

That’s why the Bermuda SPCA’s Compassionate Class programme helps children learn about kindness, empathy and responsible animal care lessons that extend to how we treat one another.

These lessons are for everyone. Whether or not animals are part of our daily lives, learning kindness and empathy benefits us all.

Every act of kindness makes a difference.
