Meet 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗯é, one of the Scholarship Coaches supporting young Africans through 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼𝗶.

Désiré holds a 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 African Leadership University (𝗥𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮) and is currently a Scholar of Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh, pursuing an MSc in Global Challenges.

A 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 and the first 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗟𝗨 𝗥𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮, his journey reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence and youth empowerment.

Since 2019, 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝟴𝟳 students who successfully secured admission to universities across Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Having earned 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, he brings deep expertise in 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Alongside his academic and mentorship work, he has developed strong 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀‐𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 through his experience as a translator and interpreter, working with organizations across Africa and Europe.

On 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼i, he supports young Africans to:
• Identify the right scholarships and opportunities
• Build strong and competitive applications
• Strengthen their academic profiles
• Prepare confidently for admission and scholarship processes

Today, we celebrate Adjima Gnargo Yoa , our 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿‐𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿, whose work continues to shape the impact of 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼𝗶 and NAYLDIS across the continent.

𝗔𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗺𝗮 is a 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, with a background in 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Over time, he discovered his true passion in 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.

He is the 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 dedicated to youth employability, entrepreneurship, and empowerment across Africa.

At NAYLDIS, 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗺𝗮 plays a central role in 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿‐𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 that strengthen skills, improve employability, and support entrepreneurial development, particularly for young people from underrepresented and low‑income communities.

He is also a key contributor to 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼𝗶, where he helps build an innovative ecosystem connecting young people to qualified peer coaches, enabling access to coaching, mentorship, and academic, professional, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Throughout his journey, 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗺𝗮 has supported numerous students and graduates in defining their academic and professional paths, helping them transition into meaningful socio‑professional opportunities.

𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗻

Meet SUNDAY Amon, one of the Scholarship Peer Coaches supporting young Africans through 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼𝗶.

𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 is an undergraduate student at Makerere University, pursuing a degree in 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. His work and interests are centered around 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, with a strong focus on helping young people access opportunities and build sustainable pathways.

He previously served as a 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 Africa Career Networks, where he supported students, including Mastercard Foundation Scholars, in 𝗖𝗩 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 is also a 𝗕𝗮𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, where he facilitates 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗼𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, helping young people build the skills they need to succeed in today’s world.

Through his internship with 𝗖𝗜𝗬𝗢𝗧𝗔, he contributed to community programs focused on 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, further strengthening his experience in youth engagement and capacity building.

With a strong background in facilitation, communication, project implementation, and digital skills, Sunday brings a practical and people‑centered approach to coaching.

• Identify the right scholarships and academic opportunities
• Build strong and competitive scholarship applications
• Prepare effectively for scholarship interviews

Meet Nguissaly, one of the Peer Coaches supporting young Africans through #𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼𝗶

𝗡𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘆 is a specialist in 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗼‐𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, with over 𝟵 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹, working at the intersection of career guidance, coaching, and sustainable employment solutions.

With a background in 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, he has supported 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 in building their professional pathways, whether in employment, entrepreneurship, or vocational training.

Throughout his career, he has:
• Coached young people and returning migrants toward employment and entrepreneurship
• Designed and implemented large‑scale employability and training programs
• Connected youth to real opportunities through partnerships with training centers, companies, and public institutions
• Led initiatives promoting networking, mentoring, and “giving back” through alumni communities

Sylvia is currently studying 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 at United States International University - Africa in Kenya, as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar in 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮. Her journey reflects a strong commitment to youth development and addressing the information and skills gaps that often prevent young people from reaching their full potential.

Having benefited from opportunities such as the 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 and later contributing as an intern, 𝗦𝘆𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗮 has developed a deep passion for 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Her experience includes working as a 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗨‐𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, where she supported students in improving their 𝗖𝗩𝘀, 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. She also served as a 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 with Africa Career Networks, gaining hands‑on experience in providing 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀.

Through these roles, Sylvia has developed strong communication, organization, and mentoring skills, along with the ability to provide clear and practical guidance tailored to each individual.

On #𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗠𝗼𝗶, she supports young Africans to 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀, and 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Her motivation is rooted in a clear belief that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲.
