Three Sisters

Three Sisters Empowering the next generation in West Africa through tutoring and educational programs

Our organization exists to strengthen economic empowerment for individuals in the lowest economic quintile by providing specialized tutoring and literacy programs. We envision a world in which education leads to meaningful employment and where individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds are able to reach their potential.

The best part wasn't what we taught, it was what the students said. 🧡

During our recent equality workshop, students spoke about treating classmates with respect, standing up against unfairness, encouraging one another, and believing that both girls and boys can succeed in any field they choose.

Those ideas may seem simple, but they're powerful when they come from the students themselves. ✨

Beyond tutoring and academics, Three Sisters is helping create spaces where young people can see possibilities for themselves and for each other. 💯

What do you get when you ask a classroom full of students whether a girl can be an engineer or a boy can be a dancer? 🤔💭

A very lively discussion.

Last month, 41 students at Houêkè-Honou Public Primary School spent the morning talking about equality, opportunity, and the freedom to dream big. Together, they explored a simple idea: every child deserves the same chance to discover what they're capable of.

The students debated real-life scenarios, challenged assumptions, and ultimately came to a conclusion of their own: no subject, no talent, and no career belongs to just one gender. ✨

By the end of the session, many were already imagining futures as doctors, teachers, pilots, engineers, artists, and software developers.

Because no dream should be off-limits. 🧡

Learning has a way of traveling with us—across classrooms, across countries, and far beyond childhood. 📚✨

At Three Sisters, we’re grateful to witness students building knowledge, confidence, and curiosity that they’ll carry with them for years to come. 🧡

A few more moments from the pen pal project—students in Benin reading, reacting to, and writing back to their new friends across the world. 🧡✍️

What started as letters became conversations, curiosity, and connection.

Learning looks different every day at Three Sisters. ✏️📖

Some students are sounding out words and some are solving complex math problems, but all of them are showing up and growing! 💯
