Floresta Burundi Floresta Burundi is a local NGO based in Rutana. It registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs in Burundi since 2008.

It is affiliated and supported by Plant With Purpose based in San Diego, California. Floresta Burundi works with local communities grouped in associations for their collective actions. Group formation ranges from 10 to 40 members per community groups. Most of these groups are involved in agriculture, environment, reconciliation and income generating activities. Currently, Floresta supervise 74 com

munity groups in 5 provinces (Rutana, Bubanza, Bururi and Makamba). Among these are: Dushirehamwe of Muzye, Abasangiraterambere, Twungurane, Remesha, Rima-Tworore,Vyizigiro, Kiramwana, Dufatanemunda and Twurwanyinzara.
