Under the theme:
“Living Pan-Africanism: Building a Strong and Independent Africa”

We successfully carried out this important activity dedicated to promoting African unity, solidarity, peace, and the spirit of Pan-Africanism. The event brought together committed youth, activists, and community members determined to contribute to a stronger and independent Africa.

Through discussions, cultural expressions, and community engagement, we reaffirmed our commitment to the values of liberation, justice, dignity, and African cooperation.

On the occasion of the Global Days of Action, Fridays for Future Burundi joins movements around the world to demand the closure of military bases that fuel war, environmental destruction, and climate injustice.

Military bases contribute to pollution, land grabbing, violence, and climate breakdown. Peace and climate justice go hand in hand.

Le 22 mars, Fridays for Future Burundi appelle les jeunes, les communautés et tous les défenseurs de la nature à se mobiliser pour dire NON à la déforestation et OUI à la protection des forêts.

Les forêts sont notre avenir : elles protègent le climat, la biodiversité, l’eau et les moyens de subsistance des populations. Leur destruction met en danger la vie et les générations futures.

Day of Solidarity with Sudan 2025

Today, FFF Burundi stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Sudan.
As our brothers and sisters face war, famine, displacement, and unimaginable violence, we refuse to remain silent. The suffering of Sudan is a suffering shared by all of Africa — and by all who believe in justice, peace, and human dignity.

Climate justice is impossible without peace. Human rights cannot exist under genocide.
The world must act.

We call for:

An immediate end to violence in Sudan

Protection and safety for civilians

Full humanitarian access

International accountability for crimes committed

Strong African and global solidarity with Sudanese communities

Sudan deserves peace. Sudan deserves justice. Sudan deserves a future.
And today, we raise our voices to say: Africa is rising — and we rise with Sudan.
