AYLF 2025 Coordinators’ Retreat
1st Day Friday 07/04/2025

The first session of the 2025 AYLF Coordinators’ Retreat, led by Allan Shepherd, focused on the core identity of AYLF and the role of leadership in driving the movement forward.

Key Insights:

✅ Leadership & Representation – Coordinators are crucial in representing AYLF, just as Isaac represents Burundi. Leadership is about taking responsibility and inspiring others.

✅ The Power of Community – Coming together strengthens our vision, deepens connections, and reinforces our shared commitment to making an impact.

✅ Mentorship Matters – Leadership starts at the university level. Just like Nyerere, we must mentor others to sustain the movement.

✅ Beyond Division – True leaders break barriers, engage with critics, and recognize the worth in everyone.

✅ Passing on the Vision – AYLF’s values must be clearly understood and preserved so future leaders can carry the mission forward with clarity and passion.

The Big Message:

Leadership is not about individual power but shared responsibility, mentorship, and inclusivity. By staying connected, fostering friendships, and embracing our roles, we ensure that the AYLF DNA continues to transform lives.

Comme chaque semaine, vendredi 21/02, le SG GITEGA - UPG s’est réuni. Voici quelques points clés de leur discussion :

La discipline est essentielle pour atteindre ses objectifs et se développer personnellement. Elle repose sur l’autocontrôle, la régularité, la gestion du temps et la persévérance. Peu importe le domaine; études, travail, finances ou relations; elle permet de rester concentré et d’adopter des habitudes qui mènent au succès.

Pour la renforcer :
1. fixer des objectifs clairs
2. établir une routine
3. éviter les distractions et avancer pas à pas.
4. Chaque effort compte, et la patience est essentielle.
5. Plus t**d sera trop t**d”, “Personne ne viendra te sauver”… Tout commence par toi !
