This is Ewan.

We keep posting because he matters.

We keep sharing because children like Ewan are more than a statistic, more than a need, and more than a face in a photo.

He has a story.
He has a personality.
He has hopes.
He has value.
And he deserves to be seen.

Sometimes it can feel like one post won’t make a difference.

But awareness starts with a name.
A face.
A story.

And when people begin to see the individual child behind the need, compassion becomes personal.

So we’ll keep sharing.
We’ll keep telling their stories.
We’ll keep praying.
We’ll keep showing up.

Because Ewan matters.

And so does every child.

🥁🇧🇮 The Heartbeat of Burundi

One of the most unforgettable parts of experiencing Burundi is hearing the Royal Burundian Drummers.

The sound is powerful. The movement is incredible. But what struck us most was the pride, joy, and history woven into every beat.

Burundi is so much more than the hardships people may hear about.

It is rich in culture.
Rich in tradition.
Rich in beauty.
And rich in people who are deeply proud of their heritage.

We love having the opportunity to share not only the needs of Burundi, but also the beauty of this incredible country and its people.

The drums are loud, joyful, and impossible to ignore—and somehow they feel like the perfect reflection of Burundi itself. 🇧🇮💛

💛 The Work Continues

It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update, but the work of LGLO: Global continues.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been praying, planning, building relationships, and continuing to look for ways to support vulnerable children and families in Burundi.

Some seasons are filled with big announcements.

Others are filled with quiet, steady work.

Both matter.

We are so grateful for every person who continues to pray for us, encourage us, give, and believe in this mission.

There is still so much ahead, and we are excited to keep sharing the journey with you.

💛 Every Child Has a Story

It’s easy to see a photo and think about the need.

But behind every photo is a child with a personality, a story, a dream, and incredible potential.

A child who loves to laugh.
A child who wants to learn.
A child who wants to belong.

💛 Small Acts. Big Love.

Sometimes changing a life doesn’t require doing something huge.

It can look like a meal.
A clean set of clothes.
A hug.
A safe place to sleep.
A listening ear.
Simply showing up.

We may not be able to change everything, but we can do something.

And when we each do our something, it adds up to a whole lot of hope. 💛

💛 The Hope Project Is Underway!

During our recent trip to Burundi, we had the incredible opportunity to attend a kickoff meeting for The Hope Project.

Nearly 30 people gathered around the table—orphanage directors, child welfare professionals, local adoptive parents, community leaders, and others who share one common goal:

To improve the lives of the children of Burundi.

We talked openly about the needs facing orphanages, gaps in funding and resources, and the challenges caregivers encounter every day. We also spent time learning about trauma responses in children and how a better understanding of trauma can help us care for children with greater compassion and wisdom.

What encouraged us most was the engagement in the room.

People asked questions.
They shared experiences.
They offered ideas.
They listened to one another.

This is exactly what we hope The Hope Project will be: a collaborative effort led by people who know their communities, understand the challenges, and are passionate about creating lasting change for vulnerable children.

We left that meeting incredibly encouraged and reminded once again that we don’t have to have all the answers. God has already placed amazing people throughout Burundi who are ready to come together, learn from one another, and work toward something better.

We are so excited to see what God does with this!

Please continue praying for The Hope Project, for the leaders involved, for continued funding for the project, and for wisdom as we take these next steps together. 💛

🇧🇮💛 What a Whirlwind of a Trip!

It’s hard to believe our time in Burundi has already come to an end.

We came ready to listen and learn—and we are heading home with so much more than we could have imagined.

We learned so much.
We made beautiful new friendships.
We strengthened relationships with dear friends and partners.
We visited orphanages and gained a better understanding of the needs throughout Burundi.
And perhaps most exciting of all…we got the ball rolling on The Hope Project.

Our hearts and our minds are FULL.

Now we’re ready to head home, decompress for a minute, process everything we’ve seen and learned…and then hit the ground running again!

There is much work ahead, but we are leaving Burundi more encouraged and more excited than ever about what God is doing and what lies ahead.

To everyone who prayed for us, encouraged us, supported this trip, and followed along—thank you. Your prayers have carried us, and your support makes this work possible.

Please pray for safe travels home and for wisdom as we begin turning everything we learned this week into action.

This trip may be ending, but the work is just beginning. 💛

💛Beautiful does not even begin to describe the people of Africa.

In fact, I’m not sure there are words sufficient to describe what we’ve experienced.

Their joy.
Their generosity.
Their resilience.
Their faith.
Their hospitality.

Again and again, we’ve been welcomed not as visitors, but as friends…as family.

The love we’ve experienced here has left a lasting mark on our hearts.

Yes, there is hardship.

Yes, there is great need.

But there is also incredible beauty—found not just in the landscapes, but in the people.

We came hoping to be a blessing, yet once again, we find ourselves being blessed far more than we could have imagined.

Thank You, Lord, for reminding us that Your image is reflected in every culture, every nation, and every person.💛
