Empowering Youth Through Knowledge on World Hepatitis Day 2026

Today, 28 July 2026, on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, Friends Women's Association (FWA), in partnership with Centre Jeunes Kamenge, as part of the 25th Edition of the Youth Camps, organized an interactive and engaging workshop for over 200 young girls and boys.
Through the NTASEKA Clinic and the Health Program, members of the Friends Women's Association Medical Staff actively facilitated the session, sharing their professional expertise and encouraging meaningful dialogue with participants.
The workshop focused on temperaments and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), creating a safe and welcoming environment for open discussions, questions, and learning. Through participatory activities, the young people gained valuable knowledge about understanding different personality temperaments, building healthy relationships, preventing sexually transmitted infections, and making informed decisions for their health and future.
This initiative also highlighted the importance of youth-friendly health services, early prevention, and access to accurate health information as essential tools for protecting the well-being of young people.
At Friends Women's Association, we believe that empowering young people with knowledge and life skills is key to building a healthier, more responsible, and resilient generation.
Together, we continue investing in the future of Burundi—one informed young person at a time.

💙✈️ Safe Travels, Linda Hall – Thank You for an Unforgettable Visit to Burundi

Today, 15 July 2026, our dear friend Linda Hall began her journey home after an inspiring and meaningful visit with Friends Women's Association (FWA) in Burundi.
Before her departure, Linda shared heartfelt goodbyes with the FWA staff, the children, and members of our Self-Help Groups whose lives she touched throughout her stay. Later today, she was accompanied to Melchior Ndadaye International Airport by FWA's Legal Representative, National Coordinator, and our Midwife and Communications Officer, where we shared our final moments together before wishing her a safe journey home.
Although her visit has come to an end, the impact she leaves behind will remain in our hearts. Her compassion, kindness, humility, joyful smile, warm hugs, generous spirit, thoughtful gifts, and words of encouragement have brought hope and inspiration to so many people.
Linda, thank you for walking alongside us, listening to our stories, celebrating our achievements, and encouraging us to dream bigger for the women, children, youth, and communities we serve. We deeply appreciate every piece of guidance, every idea, and every moment you shared with us. We are committed to putting your encouragement into practice as we continue our mission.
May God continue to bless you abundantly, grant you good health, renewed strength, and many more years of service to humanity. May He continue to inspire your heart and multiply the kindness you have shared with others.
Our sincere gratitude also goes to Friends Peace Teams, the Madison Monthly Meeting, and everyone whose generosity, prayers, and support made this journey possible. Your partnership continues to strengthen our work and bring hope to communities across Burundi.

This is not goodbye—it is "see you again." 💙

Safe travels, Linda. You will always have a home at Friends Women's Association and in Burundi.
