The First Lady of Burundi, Angéline Ndayishimiye, received on April 24, 2026, at the headquarters of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza Foundation, a delegation of women who are members of accounting professional bodies across Africa. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the progress of the First Lady’s key initiatives, particularly those implemented through the foundation in the areas of health, education, and sports.

During the discussions, the delegation commended the initiatives undertaken, especially those aimed at improving public health, promoting education, and encouraging sports participation, which is seen as a way to prevent certain diseases.
