On Saturday, 02/05/2026, there was a friendly match between GRS AMANI FC B, a team of children representing the GRS Center, and IMBEYA FC B from Nyanzuki hill. The match took place on Gitaba hill at the Muyovozi playground.

It was an exciting and enjoyable game to watch, which ended in a 3–3 draw. Both teams agreed to play a return match next Saturday at the Nyanzuki field.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, as part of supporting youth development and nurturing their talents, a football training session for young girls was held. The training took place at Nyanzuki playground.

The session went very well. We would also like to inform you that we have so far received 34 girls who are interested in training in football.

Despite our team’s commitment, the match ended in a 3–1 defeat. However, this result did not discourage us, as GRS AMANI FC is still a newly formed team. The game was played in a positive and friendly spirit, providing a valuable learning experience for our players.

Football Girl's training, on this monday 20th April 2026

At GRS Center 17 April 2026, the commitment to supporting youth development through sports continues to grow stronger.
After supporting Zone Gitaba with a mixed basketball and volleyball court, the center has brought new energy into promoting youth engagement in football.

Following the provision of appropriate equipment—including footballs, basketballs, and volleyballs—the center began by organizing structured football activities. As a result, three teams have now been formed:

1.A boys’ team under 15 years old
2.A girls’ youth team
3.A boys’ team above 15 years old

All these teams have already started their training sessions, and progress has been very positive.

In line with GRS’s mission, sports serve as a powerful tool to bring people together and strengthen unity. Through this initiative, GRS is actively nurturing and developing the talents of Burundian youth in sports, particularly through football.
