BUILDING THE FUTURE UNDER THE STARS

The night is silent, but our mission is loud.

In this photo, you see more than just two men on a construction site. You see the reality of my life in exile. While the world sleeps, my colleague and I are awake, tying steel bars and pouring our sweat into the foundations of a city that isn’t ours.

But as I smile into the camera, I am not just thinking about this building in the UAE. I am thinking about the children in BUGANDANDA, and the future of WUFPF-HOPE BURUNDI. Every bar we tie here is a step toward a school, a farm, or a meal back home.

The Labor and the Light

Many see the yellow vest as a sign of an "ordinary worker." But beneath this vest beats the heart of a jurist, a founder, and a dreamer. I have learned that no work is small when it serves a big vision. The steel we lay tonight is a bridge between two worlds: the desert of my struggle and the green hills of my hope.

Fraternity Knows No Borders

Look at the man beside me. We come from different lands, speak different tongues, but on this site, we are brothers. We share the same weight, the same heat, and the same goal: to provide for our families. This is the true "World Unity" that my foundation stands for.

I write this for everyone who is working in the shadows tonight. Keep smiling. Keep building. Your labor is the concrete upon which your dreams will stand.

Talent should not come with a price tag 💔🇧🇮

Today, I want to share a story that perfectly illustrates why I fight every single day for the youth of Burundi.

There was once a brilliant student, passionate about Information Technology. He had the spark and the drive to succeed. But life struck hard: a serious accident, huge medical bills, and a family with no choice but to sell their last piece of land just to keep him alive.

Against all odds, this young man found the strength to return to school. He worked twice as hard, caught up on his missed lessons, and achieved excellent exam results. But at the end of the road? A dead end. Poverty. He cannot afford to go to university despite his success.

This story is unfortunately not unique. Many children in Burundi are just like him: intelligent, brave, but blocked by a lack of means. This is exactly why WUFPF-HOPE Burundi exists. This is why we are preparing projects like "Summertime 2026".

Together, we can write a new chapter for these young people. Because every child deserves a chance, regardless of where they come from.

A milestone for climate finance at : First-ever joint dialogue between Multilateral Climate Funds (MCFs) and Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) held 📣

Brought together by the Green Climate Fund, which holds the 2026 Chairmanship of the MCFs, and the COP30 Presidency, the dialogue underscored the unique roles and complementary strengths of MCFs and MDBs in advancing adaptation finance, capacity building, and innovative solutions for climate resilience.

The meeting was attended by the COP30 Presidency (COP30 Brasil), COP31 Presidencies (Australia and Turkey), Adaptation Fund, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), CIF, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank (EIB), Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD), Global Environment Facility, Inter-American Development Bank, and The World Bank Group.
