The International Propeller Club - Fostering International Collaboration within the Global Maritime Framework

The International Propeller Club of the United States, Port of VARNA was honorably represented at the Annual International Propeller Club Conference by our President, Atanas Atanasov, and esteemed member, Krastin Krastev, MICS. This prestigious event brought together delegates from clubs worldwide, alongside prominent local and international leaders and experts, to address the evolving geopolitical landscape and its impact on the maritime sector.
Key topics of discussion included cybersecurity, decarbonization, and digitalization—critical issues at the forefront of shaping the industry's future.
Graciously hosted in Lyon by the local Propeller Club de Lyon, the conference centered on enhancing cross-sector cooperation and strengthening international relations. It provided a valuable platform for discussing current challenges and exploring practical solutions.
A highlight of the event was the election of Costis Frangoulis as the new President of International Propeller Club — the first non-American to hold this position. We extend our warmest congratulations and wish him every success in this significant role.
We also sincerely thank the outgoing President, Maria Conatser, for her dedicated leadership and steadfast commitment throughout her tenure.
Numerous maritime students from around the world also had the unique opportunity to attend the conference, demonstrating their strong dedication and reaffirming that the industry’s future is in capable hands.
