🌍✨ Empowering Youth Through Intercultural Exchange in Ireland! ✨🌍

We are so proud to share that our activists recently had the opportunity to represent our organization at the Erasmus+ training course, “Connecting Cultures,” held in the beautiful Cork City, Ireland, from May 23rd to May 29th, 2026! 🇮🇪

This 7-day residential project brought together youth workers and leaders from diverse organizations across Europe to focus deeply on the realities of culturally diverse societies. 🤝The intensive program was designed to equip youth workers with the tools needed to address complex challenges such as conflict, discrimination, racism, and xenophobia.

💡Through non-formal, creative, and interactive methods, our team explored the opportunities and challenges of cultural diversity and shared best practices with their international peers. 🛠️A major focus of the training was collaborating to generate creative, community-based strategies to promote positive intercultural understanding and inclusion at both the local and European levels.

🇪🇺Participants also spent time learning how to effectively utilize Erasmus+ as a powerful resource to improve intercultural initiatives within the youth sector. Guided by expert trainers Viv Sadd and Oliver Schneitter, this collaborative environment allowed everyone to define their community needs, share experiences, and inspire each other's youth work .

This experience has given our team invaluable tools, and we are excited to integrate these new intercultural actions and strategies into our local youth programs! 🌟

🌟 Our representatives just completed an incredible training on Participatory Action Research!

From May 11 to 13, 2026, our team participated in the intensive workshop series "Centering People, Creating Knowledge". This insightful training was dedicated to Participatory Action Research (PAR) and was organized by the diasporic organization Reka Si, with the support of the Anna Lindh Foundation.

Over these three days, we gained valuable skills to help us empower communities and drive tangible social change. Here is a glimpse of what we learned:

🔹 The Heart of PAR: We explored how Participatory Action Research differs from traditional studies. It is a collaborative approach where research is not done on people, but rather with and by the people affected by an issue, all working together for collective social change. It aims for emancipation, empowerment, and social justice.

🔹 The Continuous Cycle: We learned how to tackle real-world problems through a continuous, integrated cycle of Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting.

🔹 Navigating Power and Ethics: We dove deep into the dimensions of power in society - including who creates the rules and who controls narratives and knowledge.

We also discussed crucial ethical considerations for building research communities, such as ensuring ongoing informed consent, maintaining cultural sensitivity, and strictly following the "do no harm" principle.

🔹 Co-Designing Research: We practiced how to collaboratively design a PAR process, develop themes, set goals, formulate research questions, and validate research outcomes alongside community co-researchers.

We are returning home so inspired! We cannot wait to integrate this inclusive, action-oriented methodology into our future projects to ensure that community voices remain at the very center of our work. 💪✨

🚀 "Ctrl+Shift" is officially underway! 🚀

We are thrilled to share that our strong delegation of 4 participants is currently in the beautiful Silesian Beskid Mountains in Poland for the Erasmus+ training course "Ctrl+Shift: Virtual Youth Work in Democratic Spaces"!

Right now, our team is collaborating with youth workers from across the EU, diving deep into the future of youth work. They are testing and discussing crucial topics:
🌐 Blending face-to-face and online activities.
🛠️ Mastering virtual facilitation tools
🗳️ Digital democracy, online consultations, and e-voting.
🤖 Using AI and multimedia for engaging content.

Why does this matter?
Modern youth work needs to keep up with technology. Our delegates are not just learning — they are building Action Plans to bring these innovative digital methods directly back to our daily work!

Wishing our amazing team a highly productive week. We can't wait to see what ideas you bring back! ✨
