ESN Sofia University is a non-profit student organization, which belongs to the Erasmus Student Network. It is established in 2008 in order to help exchange students coming to study at Sofia University. The volunteers of ESN Sofia University are "Students helping students" standing for unity in diversity and enrichment of society. Our team organizes various activities, which aim to improve the better involvement of international students and to provide more self-development opportunities to local students.

All of you adventurers joining us in Plovdiv will have access to a small sidequest while we are enjoying the city.😊
Our friends from Inner Voice have prepared a game for you to help you explore the city.
If you are a fan of Escape Rooms and Riddles - This is an outdoor activity with optional participation.
The game starts at 13:30 from Plovdiv post - From there the self navigated digital map will take you and your phone through the old town with riddles hidden in plain sight.
Instructions on how and when to start will be given at Plovdiv Post📄
Steps WHEN at Plovdiv Post:
1. Open the website (check link in form)
2. Form a team of 5
3. One person per team collects 9 euros per player to generate a code for every player
4. Game begins once all players receive their code to join.
Game can take between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes (2025 students hold the record at 58 minutes)⏱️
Deadline to register for the game (Friday 23:59) Our volunteers will check if there are enough people for teams to be establishe.

Ready to kick off your university journey and connect with students from all around the world? 🌍✨

Join us for Freshers International — organized by ESN Sofia University in collaboration with the Sofia University Student Council!

Whether you are new to the university or arriving from abroad, this is your chance to break the ice, make lifelong friends, and dive into student life. We have prepared an afternoon packed with interactive games, engaging team activities, and plenty of opportunities to network and get to know each other in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

🤩Join us for this semester’s first Day-Trip to the ancient city of Plovdiv. 🚂

If you are an Erasmus student from Sofia, Plovdiv or Burgas, your local volunteers are expecting you to take you on a brief adventure to Europe’s most ancient, continuously inhabited city with layers of civilaztions discovered in plain sight. 

📅When: 4th of October 2026 (Sunday)

✨There will be an optional 1 euro tax fee for the walking tour, to visit a local house from the 19th century (please bring student ID)

Mandatory registration is required. Fill out the form before 2nd of October 2026

‼️UNLIKE THE NATIONAL TRIP where we have insurance, this is a SELF-ORGANISED TRIP so please book your tickets and in advance and be responsible for keeping them and staying safe.

(Please be at the station 20 minutes before departure)

Early Birds - 8:22 AM

Early birds will have free time for coffee and brunch in Plovdiv

We recommend the 18:27 or 19:30 for Sofia

‼️Please chose your train in the registration form and make sure to buy your tickets at least 2 days prior to your departure. If you book a round-trip ticket on spot - make sure to Validate your ticket at the Plovdiv station before leaving.
