An important meeting took place in Sofia this week — and BCCBR was part of it.

We were invited by our partner KRIB to join a working session at the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry, hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Pulev. Around the table: bilateral trade chambers from Bulgaria, all gathered to talk about one thing — how to make Bulgaria an even better place to do business.

Here's what's coming for investors in Bulgaria:

▸ A brand new Investment Promotion Coordination Council to fast-track strategic projects through the system
▸ Priority and accelerated administrative services for strategic investors — especially in high value-added industries
▸ A new Public-Private Partnership Law in the making, built on European best practices and developed with the EBRD
▸ A firm commitment to reducing bureaucracy and opening more channels of dialogue with business

The message from Minister Pulev was clear: "Our door will always be open." And we believe him — because meetings like this one are proof that the dialogue is real and ongoing.

At BCCBR, we are convinced that this is exactly the kind of collaboration that works: government and the international business community, sitting at the same table, listening to each other. We are grateful for the invitation and proud to represent the voice of Romanian-Bulgarian business in these conversations.

BCCBR at the ABGR Annual Conference — and what a conference it was!

What a wonderful and inspiring event!

BCCBR was proud to participate in the Annual Conference of the Association of Bulgarian Cities and Regions (ABGR), this year held under the theme "Building Sustainable Communities Through Innovation and Local Solutions in Municipalities and Regions". Real conversations, great ideas, and exactly the kind of event that reminds you why this work matters.

And we didn't come alone — we brought with us our friends and partners from the Association of Public Administrators from Romania, because the best ideas about building stronger communities travel better when we cross them across the Danube together. 🇷🇴🇧🇬

Business forum on investments in the region of Sliven and Opening of "Sliven Industrial Park"

The Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Romania (BCCBR) was among the key participants in the forum and played a significant role in adding a distinct international dimension to the event by organizing and coordinating the participation of a delegation of Romanian companies and its members (TUV Austria - Romania, Urbio Group), who arrived in Sliven with a specific interest in establishing partnerships with Bulgarian firms. The Romanian business representatives operate in various sectors, creating a wide range of opportunities for cooperation with local businesses.

Energy storage could become one of the biggest investment themes in Romania and Bulgaria.

New projects aim to build large battery storage facilities across the region, helping electricity networks manage the rapid growth of renewable energy.

Romania has also approved €300 million in financing for projects designed to modernize its energy system.

Battery storage will allow electricity to be saved when production is high and used when demand increases, improving energy stability and opening new investment opportunities.
