Synergy Bulgaria is a Sofia-based NGO with the mission to support young people in reaching their highest potential and becoming active members of society. Internationally our projects aim to address such topics as entrepreneurship, personal growth &quality youth work. We organize cross-European trainings and youth exchanges and run Erasmus+ Youth Academy, an online community for NGO leaders and p

roject managers. In Sofia, we aim to connect to a local community in numerous ways: from picnics & workshops to educational programs and storytelling events.

Do you want to spend almost a year in Bulgaria, developing your project, creative, and communication skills? Then this opportunity is perfect for you! 😃

Right now, we have an open application for a volunteer with a passion for:

1 - Project/Event Management
2 - Photography/Videography.

The program will immerse you in the world of Erasmus+, ESC, event management, content creation, and daily work in a youth organization.

😍 This opportunity is for you if you:
- dream of working in the NGO sector or launching your own projects;
- enjoy working with young people and are interested in international programs;
- are creative, proactive, and eager to learn;
- come from an ESC program country;
- are 18-27 years old.

As a volunteer, you will have the chance to:
- develop your skills in your chosen role;
- receive mentorship and hands-on practical experience;
- participate in local and international events;
- create engaging content, collaborate with the team, and implement your own ideas.

🇪🇺 The ESC program covers:
- Travel to and from Bulgaria;

We’re opening a new volunteering opportunity for 13 young people ready to step out of their routine and into something meaningful.

📍 Where?
Synergy House – a peaceful rural area in Djurovo, Bulgaria
📅 When?
August 26 - September 23, 2026
🌍 Who can apply?
Young people from ESC Programme Countries
🎯 Age: 18–30 (not older than 31 on the 26th of August)

We’re looking for people who are:
• Enthusiastic about hands-on work
• Creative and proactive
• Team players eager to support the local community
• Bonus: Skills in building, gardening, painting, etc. are warmly welcomed!

We provide:
🏡 Accommodation in a cozy volunteer house with hammocks, a fireplace, and a nearby river
🍽 Food, insurance, travel reimbursement, and pocket money
🌟 A space to grow, connect, and create impact together

Ready to level-up your volunteer coordination skills? This 7-day Erasmus+ training will help you build practical coaching & mentoring skills you can use right away while connecting with coordinators from across Europe.

At Synergy House, a rural space for youth training and volunteering, you’ll learn by doing: explore real challenges, practice coaching tools, and build a practical toolkit you can use straight away in your daily work with volunteers.

What to expect:

What you’ll do:

💪 Hands-on work - transforming a summer house into an educational learning center for youth projects and exchanges through permaculture principles.

🤝 Connecting with locals - weekly activities with the Dzhurovo community and join initiatives with local residents.

Do you want to spend a month that truly transforms you?✨

Live with people from all over Europe, Ukraine and beyond, create your own initiatives, work with your hands, and build something meaningful - for yourself and for others.

This is more than volunteering.
It’s a community. Growth. Action.

What you’ll do:
💪 Hands-on work – help renovate Synergy House and turn it into a vibrant learning space for youth projects and exchanges. Paint, build, garden, and see the change you create with your own hands.
🏠 Community living – share everyday moments with volunteers from all over Europe. Create your own activities, workshops, DIY projects and leave your personal mark.
🤝 Connecting with locals – create inclusive activities with local youth and children, including the Roma community, in the village of Dzhurovo. Organize games, workshops, and creative activities to bring people together through fun and learning experiences.

📌We’re looking for:
- 16 participants aged 18–30, who do not require a visa to stay in Bulgaria for 30 days.
- People ready to live in a rural environment for 4 weeks
- Proactive individuals eager to create opportunities
- Participants with a personal project or learning goal
- Volunteers with media skills (photo, video, SMM)
- Priority will be given to participants with fewer opportunities.
