Ready to level-up your volunteer coordination skills? This 7-day Erasmus+ training will help you build practical coaching & mentoring skills you can use right away while connecting with coordinators from across Europe.

At Synergy House, a rural space for youth training and volunteering, you’ll learn by doing: explore real challenges, practice coaching tools, and build a practical toolkit you can use straight away in your daily work with volunteers.

What to expect:

Join us at Synergy House. You won’t just volunteer - you’ll live, learn and create alongside people from different countries and cultures. Discover permaculture, work with your hands, launch your own initiatives, and become part of a community committed to creating positive change.

What you’ll do:

💪 Hands-on work - transforming a summer house into an educational learning center for youth projects and exchanges through permaculture principles.

🏠 Community living & personal mark - co-create your community, launch your own initiative, run workshops, DIY projects.

🤝 Connecting with locals - weekly activities with the Dzhurovo community and join initiatives with local residents.

📌We’re looking for:

- 15 participants aged 18-30
- People ready to live in a rural environment for 4 weeks
- Proactive individuals eager to create opportunities
- Participants with a personal project or learning goal
- Volunteers with media skills (photo, video, SMM)
- Priority will be given to participants with fewer opportunities

Do you want to spend a month that truly transforms you?✨

Live with people from all over Europe, Ukraine and beyond, create your own initiatives, work with your hands, and build something meaningful - for yourself and for others.

This is more than volunteering.
It’s a community. Growth. Action.

What you’ll do:
💪 Hands-on work – help renovate Synergy House and turn it into a vibrant learning space for youth projects and exchanges. Paint, build, garden, and see the change you create with your own hands.
🏠 Community living – share everyday moments with volunteers from all over Europe. Create your own activities, workshops, DIY projects and leave your personal mark.
🤝 Connecting with locals – create inclusive activities with local youth and children, including the Roma community, in the village of Dzhurovo. Organize games, workshops, and creative activities to bring people together through fun and learning experiences.

📌We’re looking for:
- 16 participants aged 18–30, who do not require a visa to stay in Bulgaria for 30 days.
- People ready to live in a rural environment for 4 weeks
- Proactive individuals eager to create opportunities
- Participants with a personal project or learning goal
- Volunteers with media skills (photo, video, SMM)
- Priority will be given to participants with fewer opportunities.

This year, we are opening applications for 2 positions and looking for 2 volunteers:
1 - Social Media Manager
2 - Photographer/Videographer

The program will immerse you in the world of Erasmus+, ESC, event management, content creation, and daily work in a youth organization.

This opportunity is for you if you:
- dream of working in the NGO sector or launching your own projects;
- enjoy working with young people and are interested in international programs;
- are creative, proactive, and eager to learn;
- come from an ESC program country;
- are 18-27 years old.

As a volunteer, you will have the chance to:
- develop your skills in your chosen role;
- receive mentorship and hands-on practical experience;

📣 While European Commission and National Agencies put more emphasis on the impact, visibility and dissemination, youth NGOs struggle to find participants, reach young people and communicate their mission online.

🤔 It’s time to have an honest conversation: social media doesn’t work (anymore) or do we use outdated strategies? Or…do we have a strategy at all? If you post more but see less: weaker reach, low youth engagement, and unclear brand visibility, you should join us and share your story. While Yulia Markos (Synergy Bulgaria) and Panagiotis Mamouzakis will share their experience with social media, we’ll also dive into important questions:

* who you’re trying to reach (youth) and where they actually are;
* why do your social media channels underperform;
* social media platforms: what to stop, start, and keep;
* how to shift from “post because we must” to purpose-driven content & formats.

Who can deny the role of social media today? We’re all there - every day.

But here’s the harder question for NGOs in the youth sector: how effective are we at actually reaching young people online? Are we visible? Do they know what we do?

From what we’re seeing, many organizations struggle to:
- engage young people online
- stay consistently present and visible
- build a clear, trusted brand

To tackle this, we’ve formed a consortium of four partners for the next 18 months. Our goal: help less-experienced NGOs find their voice online, understand their target groups, and create real impact not only offline - but also online, at scale.

As a first step, we held our partners’ meeting in September in the Netherlands, where we mapped a shared roadmap for research, testing, and practical tools. Wanna follow this journey with us - stay tuned & follow Synergy Bulgaria
