SweCham 4 You – Leaders Share and Care | Event Recap

On 14 May, SweCham members gathered at the Kammarton Bulgaria Ltd. office for an inspiring edition of SweCham 4 You – Leaders Share and Care. The morning began with a welcoming business breakfast, creating space for meaningful conversations and networking in a friendly and open atmosphere.

The official program continued with a company presentation by Kammarton Bulgaria, offering valuable insights into the company’s vision, values, and sustainable business approach. This was followed by the presentation of Art On – Our Brand for Inspiring Spaces, which demonstrated how creativity, design, and functionality can come together to enrich working environments.

Participants then enjoyed an engaging building tour and interactive activities under the theme “With Business and Employees in Mind”, highlighting the importance of people-centered workplaces and thoughtful organizational culture.

The event concluded on a truly special note with the presentation of the book “The Thief” by Lilya Goranova, followed by an author signing session. The literary moment added depth and inspiration, reminding us of the strong connection between business, culture, and personal growth.

What can business communities learn from DARA’s Eurovision victory? 🇧🇬🇸🇪✨

One of the most inspiring aspects behind Bulgaria’s historic Eurovision 2026 win is something that often stays invisible to the public: great success is rarely created alone.

Behind DARA’s unforgettable performance stood an international creative collaboration - including world-renowned Swedish stage director Fredrik “Benke” Rydman, known for shaping some of Eurovision’s most iconic performances.

As part of Swedish Week 2025, we were delighted to host a warm and festive Santa Lucia breakfast together with His Excellency Pontus Melander, the Ambassador of Sweden. The event brought together partners, friends, and members of the community to celebrate one of Sweden’s most enchanting traditions.

Held on 10 December at Mediterraneo Restaurant in Sofia, the gathering welcomed guests with a cozy atmosphere, Scandinavian flavors, and the magical spirit of Lucia. Special guests guided us through the meaning and symbolism behind this cherished celebration, adding depth and emotion to the experience.

It was a wonderful morning filled with inspiring conversations, cultural discovery, and the joy of sharing traditions. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the warmth of this memorable event.

We were pleased to host a truly insightful discussion today on “Bulgaria in the Eurozone – Perspectives for the Economy and Society”.

Our sincere thanks to Mr. Metodi Metodiev, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria, for his comprehensive presentation and for clearly outlining the economic priorities and expected impact of joining the Eurozone.

We also wish to thank the representatives of the diplomatic community for contributing valuable European perspectives to the discussion: His Excellency Pontus Melander, Ambassador of Sweden, Her Excellency Kirsti Pohjankukka, Ambassador of Finland, His Excellency Flemming Stender, Ambassador of Denmark, and Mrs. Venceslava Yanchovska, Consul General of Norway to Bulgaria.

We were glad to also hear the banking sector perspective, shared by representatives of Postbank and UniCredit Bulbank, who highlighted the financial risks, opportunities, and anticipated transition dynamics for businesses and citizens.

Special thanks to our moderator, Ms. Zoya Paunova, Honorary Consul of Sweden to Bulgaria and Board Member of Swecham, for guiding the conversation with depth, clarity, and an open outlook.
