There is a difference between finishing a programme and being changed by it.
This week, our YETS Ghana cohort - Cohort 2 of the Sporting Unity Virtual Exchange Programme presented their action plans and officially completed the programme. The certificate is coming. But what they are leaving with right now is the real outcome: a new lens on Olympism, colonialism in sport, gender equality, and how to drive change in their own communities.
At the same time, XCEL Basketball Academy completed their final module, learning how to build a structured action plan to address real issues in their communities. Next week they will present their plans and receive their certificates. The journey is almost complete for Cohort 3.
Two cohorts. Two different stages. One programme doing real work with real young people in Ghana.
Sporting Unity is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. 💙
