Our programs are powered by our belief that great things happen when you give people an opportunity to discover their full potential. Champions Factory is an international non-governmental organisation bringing social change through innovations in education and sport. Champions Factory is established and with headquarters in Sofia (Bulgaria), as it has offices in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Turkey and Ghana. Champions Factory works in the following fields:
- Young people and youth workers - through innovative educational methodologies they develop and empower young people to be active citizens and to reach their potential to full capacity on a national and international level. We have involved more than 3000 youth from disadvantaged areas and NEETs in different courses and initiatives, as well as more than 480 youth in international exchanges, courses, seminars, meetings.
- “Champions Academy” - private program for young people to develop their leadership and communicational skills, knowledge and competencies
- International Network “Learning through sport” - Champions Factory develops, tests and spreads the “learning through sport” methodology, which builds-up leadership skills in youth and promotes the values of sport (fairness, team building, equality, discipline, inclusion, perseverance and respect).
- Vocational education and training - Champions Factory runs the biggest vocational education and training consortium among sports schools in Bulgaria, as they have five sport schools members
- Adult learners - Champions Factory provides teaching and training courses for staff of adult education organisations in areas as intercultural classrooms, tolerance and diversity, and sport management
- Developing Mountain Biking in Bulgaria and Europe and managing Champions Factory Bike Park “Rilla Lakes.”

🔥 BREAK THE LIMITS: Sofia Brought Breaking to the Big Stage! 🇧🇬🇫🇷🇩🇪

From school demonstrations to exciting battles in the heart of Sofia, Break the Limits: European Week of Sport celebrated breaking, creativity, and international friendship! 🌍💥

Held on 24–27 September 2026, the final BTL event brought together participants from Bulgaria, France, and Germany at the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

🏫 800+ students discovered breaking through school demonstrations.
🔥 6,000+ spectators enjoyed thrilling battles and urban culture.
🎨 Workshops, graffiti, DJs, and live rap brought even more energy to the event!

With an average participant rating of 4.74/5 and 10 new children joining Sofia breaking clubs the following week, the event showed how sport can inspire inclusion and bring communities together. 🤝

A huge thank you to Bulgarian Breaking Federation (BBF), Fédération Française de Danse (FFD), The House of Urban Culture (HOUC), and everyone who made this celebration possible! ❤️

Champions Factory successfully completed Level 2 training of Teqball coaches under ACT project (101243413)!

Together with a local Bulgarian club, Champions Factory trained 5 trainers on basic and advanced level trainings of teqball.
Participants were either aspiring coaches or wanted to renew their skills in the sport.

For 5 intensive training days, all 5 of them learned advanced techniques, using the established teqball training by partners in the project.

🌍 Every training session, competition and sporting event involves choices about energy, water, transport and materials. Those choices shape sport’s environmental impact.

Through the SCORE GREEN diagnostic study within the Sustainable Climate-Oriented Reduction of Emissions in Sports project, we explored sustainability in sport across Bulgaria, Hungary and North Macedonia. The findings highlight shared challenges: ageing facilities, tight budgets and limited practical guidance for sport organisations.

Many clubs also use municipal or school facilities, meaning they need cooperation from venue managers and local authorities to make lasting improvements.

There are practical places to start. Coordinating shared journeys, reducing disposable packaging, providing water refill stations and improving heating schedules can help clubs use resources more responsibly. Larger facility upgrades need longer-term planning and investment.

Another important finding is the need for better monitoring. Keeping simple records of energy and water use, waste or travel habits helps organisations understand their starting point and see whether changes are working.

SCORE GREEN aims to support this process through practical tools, training and Green Sport Ambassadors, helping organisations make sustainability part of everyday sport.

Compass Quest Orienteering Camp in Vienna, Austria
On 29–30 September 2026, IEC Austria hosted the third Compass Quest orienteering camp in Vienna, bringing together students from MS Absberggasse and project partners from four countries for two days of teamwork, exploration, and game-based learning.

Using the OrientWalking app, students explored Vienna’s historic centre while solving quizzes and completing team challenges connected to local landmarks, culture, and heritage. Starting from Stephansplatz, teams navigated between checkpoints, discovering the city on foot and learning through direct experience.

We would like to sincerely thank MS Absberggasse, its teachers and students for their enthusiasm and participation, IEC Austria for hosting the camp, and Orienteering Austria for guiding the quest.

The camp showed how digital tools and outdoor activities can bring local heritage to life while encouraging cooperation, curiosity, and active participation.

🏀 BaskIN Event – Sofia, Bulgaria 🇧🇬

From 25-27 September 2026, Sofia hosted Stage 4 of the Wheelchair Basketball Players as Future Basketball Managers (WBBM) project - the BaskIN Event, organised by BCPD Levski.

As the practical culmination of the WBBM programme, the event gave participants the opportunity to build on the knowledge and skills developed during the previous training stages and put them into practice through the organisation and delivery of the event.

The programme combined theoretical sessions, practical activities and BaskIN games, bringing together people with different abilities in an inclusive and supportive environment based on participation, teamwork and shared experience.

Through BaskIN, participants explored how basketball can create opportunities for accessibility, diversity and equal participation in sport, while also developing practical competencies relevant to future organisational and management roles within the basketball ecosystem.

A meaningful step from learning to practice - and from the court to new opportunities in the basketball ecosystem.

Затова стартираме "We Blow the Whistle" - кампанията за равенство и LGBTQIA+ включване в спорта, част от проект SISTERS.

През следващите месеци нашите отбори ще имат свободата сами да решат как да разкажат тази история - чрез социални мрежи, видеа, манифести, флашмоб акции или други креативни варианти. Ще следим тяхното пътуване стъпка по стъпка.

ℹ️ Какво е "We Blow the Whistle"?

Това е кампания за осъзнатост, част от проект SISTERS (SISTERS: FoStering gender and LGBTIQA+ equity In Sports through an inTERSectional approach), съфинансиран от Европейския съюз, който цели повече осъзнатост и действие към равенството между половете и LGBTQIA+ включване в спорта.

В рамките на кампанията отборите, участващи в нашия спортен турнир, ще разработят собствени инициативи за повишаване на осъзнатостта по темата в своята общност през следващите 6 месеца (октомври 2026 - февруари 2027).

Всеки отбор сам избира формата - публикации в социалните мрежи, видеа, манифест, офлайн инициативи и др. Ще следим и споделяме тяхното развитие тук.

ACT project is moving fast, and here is our 1st Newsletter. It covers April-August 2026 in which period the consortium developed all training curriculums, trained coaches on basic level training. Hungary and Turkey finalised their advanced training for coaches, too. Following this, 3 Teqball tables were installed across partner's countries and the development of the Educational and Awareness Videos started. The project now has its own social media channels and a website - a hub to see all project's achievements!

This period has been busy for the project, and more things are coming in the next months!
