National Dialogue 🗣 for Inclusive Activities Vlog 🎥

🟠 During the 57th National Assembly of ESN Bulgaria, we had a 2-day training activity with sessions as part of the "Voices of Change" project

🗓 During 25-26th April, we had the following sessions:
- Introduction session to map the realities in our home cities about inclusivity and accessibility
- Set the framework accessible - inclusive activity and what it means
- Using "Hope" and "Harm" method to highlight what are the positives and negatives in our local communities
- Plan an Inclusive local event in a random Bulgarian city (group activity)
- Adapt the additional accessibility needs for the participants, when planning the event
- Present your event plan and receive feedback from locals
- Ideate on final suggestions for institutions and youth organisations for more inclusive activities in the mentioned Bulgarian cities

📄 These suggestions will be used as a basis for our Checklist with suggestions for more inclusive activities as a final deliverable for our project

We are proudly sharing a sneak peak from our training activity, which was held during NA "NostalgiA" in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria🤩

🗓 This activity was part of the "Voices of Change" National Dialogue project and it was held during ESN Bulgaria's 57th National Assembly on 25-26th April, 2026

🟠 The main topic was about making more inclusive local activities in Bulgaria. With 50 participants, from 7+ cities and 4 countries, we managed to collect useful suggestions for solutions on this topic!

National Dialogue Recap 🤩🗣

🗓 During February and March, ESN Bulgaria organised and supported activities from the National Phase of the Speak Out project. The goal was to involve local youth in discussing national policies with local institutions and national policymakers.

🟣 During our Preparation phase in Gabrovo, our participants were introduced and practiced the “Youth Check” methodology for youth involvement.
This activity was supported by the Youth Center in Gabrovo.

🟢 During our main phase, ESN Bulgaria partnered with the National Youth Forum and International Youth Center Pernik to involve youth workers and volunteers from the country in National Youth Dialogue with national institutions

👉 The used methods were interactive TEDx style sessions, facilitated group work for writing policy proposals and roundtable with national institutions.

🗣 As a result, local youth from all over the country practiced their collaboration, research and policy-writing techniques as well as advocacy with institutions.

For democracy to be strong and inclusive, it is crucial that young people feel empowered to engage, participate, question, and take action in their communities.

That’s why projects like matter: they turn these values into lived experience through local trainings, dialogue, and youth-led action that builds confidence, challenges stereotypes, and strengthens active citizenship.
