Balkan Training is an NGO founded by youth representatives under the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act in Republic of Bulgaria. The mission of Balkan Training is to ensure the ‘participation of youths in the process of forming policies in accordance with European Youth strategies and other relevant programs’ (Articles of Association of Balkan Training, Chapter 2, Art. 6). The vision of Balkan Training
for reaching this goal is the inclusion of young people in educational programs and their subsequent development as active participants in the decision making process for their future. Our targets are all young people between 15 and 30 years of age – students, employed and temporary unemployed. Our organization is created by young people as well, which reflects our desire to work in the youth field. In February 2016 we ran a public consultation in relation to the changes and additions to the Higher Education Act. The activities was held under NGO Grants program in Bulgaria funded by EEA and Norway Grants. We provided a detailed analyses together with judiciary experts and presented the law changes that concerns the youth in Bulgaria in a public consultation.
