🌍 EDF at the Social Firms Europe CEFEC Executive Committee Meeting in Bled, Slovenia

European Development Foundation was pleased to take part in the Social Firms Europe CEFEC Executive Committee Meeting, held on 3 June 2026 in Bled, Slovenia.

The meeting brought together members of the CEFEC network to discuss key topics such as future strategy, membership development, upcoming events, and opportunities for strengthening cooperation across Europe.

For EDF, participation in networks such as Social Firms Europe CEFEC is highly relevant to our mission. It allows us to exchange good practices, build stronger international partnerships, and contribute to discussions on social inclusion, social entrepreneurship, employment opportunities, and innovation for vulnerable and underrepresented groups.

The inspiring setting of Bled also reminded us that meaningful cooperation is built not only through formal meetings, but also through dialogue, shared values, and a common commitment to creating more inclusive communities.
We look forward to continuing our cooperation within the CEFEC network and contributing to future initiatives that support a stronger social economy in Europe.

🌍 Day 2 in Bangor: turning connections into future cooperation

Day 2 of the Let her in International Networking Event 2026 in Bangor brought another inspiring round of exchange, collaboration, and project development among members, partners, and new organisations.

Hosted by Kilcooley & Ards North Down Womens Centre (), the second day focused on deepening the conversations started on Day 1 and exploring how shared ideas can grow into meaningful international initiatives.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in discussions around future cooperation, partnership-building, project development, and the role of international networks in creating long-term social impact. The exchanges once again showed the value of bringing diverse organisations together in one space: to listen, share, learn, and co-create.

As the event comes to a close, we leave Bangor with new connections, new ideas, and renewed motivation to continue strengthening cooperation across borders.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants for their openness, energy, and commitment throughout these two days. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Kilcooley & Ards North Down Womens Centre for hosting us and for creating such a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Together, we continue building partnerships that empower, connect, and create lasting impact.

🌍 European Development Foundation (EDF) at the Let Her In International Networking Event in Bangor

European Development Foundation is pleased to be participating in the Let Her In International Networking Event 2026, taking place in Bangor, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

Day 1 brought together organisations from across the network and beyond for an inspiring exchange focused on international cooperation, project development, partnership-building, and shared social impact.

πŸŽ₯ How Would AI Transform Your Business? πŸ€–

During the EYE4AI LTTA in Oslo, participants were challenged to think like innovators and problem-solvers.

Presented with different business scenarios, from travel agencies to fitness centres and fashion brands, they explored how artificial intelligence could be used to improve services, better understand customers, automate processes, and create new opportunities for growth.

This video showcases the first round of ideas generated by our young entrepreneurs and AI enthusiasts. πŸš€

It is inspiring to see how quickly participants connected AI tools with real-world business challenges, demonstrating creativity, adaptability, and a forward-thinking mindset.

πŸ’¬ Which of these ideas would be most useful in your own business?

🌍 Strengthening International Cooperation Through Collaboration 🀝

A few weeks ago, our colleague participated in the Social Firms Europe CEFEC Working Group on International Cooperation, bringing together organisations committed to building stronger partnerships and creating opportunities for meaningful cross-border collaboration.

At European Development Foundation (EDF), we firmly believe that the challenges faced by our communities today cannot be addressed in isolation. Whether we are working on inclusion, education, employment, sustainability, culture, or social innovation, international cooperation allows us to learn from one another, share expertise, and develop solutions that create lasting impact.

πŸ’‘ Through networks such as CEFEC, organisations from different countries and sectors can:
🌍 Exchange knowledge and good practices
🀝 Build strategic partnerships
πŸš€ Develop innovative projects and initiatives
πŸ’¬ Amplify the voices of communities that are often underrepresented
🌱 Create stronger and more inclusive societies across Europe and beyond

Meetings like this one reminded us that collaboration is not just about working together, it is about building trust, fostering mutual learning, and turning shared values into collective action.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and contributing to a more connected, inclusive, and collaborative future!

Thank you, dear Social Firms Europe CEFEC for enabling our team to be part of something so important in today's societal development! πŸŒπŸ€πŸ’™

πŸ€– June: Reflecting on the Future of AI and Entrepreneurship 🌍

As conversations around artificial intelligence continue to grow across Europe and beyond, June offers an important moment to reflect not only on technological innovation, but also on the people, ideas, and values shaping the future of AI. πŸ’‘

Through the EYE4AI project, we continue exploring how artificial intelligence can support young entrepreneurs, foster creativity, strengthen innovation, and open new opportunities for future generations. πŸš€

But alongside the opportunities AI creates, important questions also continue to emerge:
🌐 How can we ensure AI remains human-centred?
βš–οΈ How do we encourage responsible and ethical innovation?
🀝 How can young entrepreneurs use AI to create meaningful and sustainable impact?

πŸ“š What future skills will become essential in an AI-driven world?
Recent activities within EYE4AI, including our Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) in Oslo, highlighted the importance of combining technological advancement with creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and human values.
AI is not only transforming businesses and industries, it is reshaping the way we learn, communicate, create, and innovate. That is why initiatives that empower young people with digital, entrepreneurial, and ethical AI competences are becoming more important than ever. 🌱

At EYE4AI, we believe the future of AI should not only be innovative, but also inclusive, responsible, and built around people. ✨
